Most of my reviews are positive, particularly about Door County establishments (Holiday Music Motel, Blue Front Cafe, Old Post Office for fish boils). This one is not.
My wife and I last visited Door County Coffee and Tea in 2010, but not on a Monday, which advertises it is open for breakfast at 7:30 am. We arrived, bringing 3 friends with us, and were the only guests in the dining room, at 7:45 am today. There was only one person handling the dining room, the counter and making pies and frosting rolls. Service was therefore slow. This place prides itself on roasting and serving the finest coffee; however, the coffee we were served was weak and tasteless. We could almost see the bottom of the full cup. We would have called this miss-brew to someone's attention, but as noted above, service was slow. Our party ordered various versions of the baked egg dishes, but they were disappointing. It looks like the restaurant bakes the identical egg squares in advance, the heats them up (microwave?) with different cheeses and meat toppings. The cheese was hard and the meat dry. When we were able to get fresh cups of coffee, reported to be a new cup of the house Columbian, they were better, but still nothing out of the ordinary. In general, not the nearly the experience we had touted to our friends. If you plan to go, don't do it on a Monday!
