As the title states, we grade all hotels against this one. We stayed for a little mini-vacation and chose to stay close to home. Very glad we did. I have been to this hotel several times and have enjoyed every visit.

We have stayed for mini-vactions, family from out of town visiting, christmas parties for work, holiday parties for work, and work conferences. Each stay has been fantastic!

The staff is pleasant and very accomidating to any needs, even an extra disk for the air hockey table ;)

The room was spacious and comfortable.

From top to bottom this is one of the best run hotels we have ever visited. We always enjoy our stays and will continue to evaluate every hotel against this hometown favorite.

We are a family that loves to travel. We are from Chicago and wanted to visit Frank Lloyd Wright's love nest at Taliesin. We had further reservations at The Wilderness water park in The Dells. We found the two room suite at The Cedarberry Inn was perfect for our needs. We have a boy and a girl in their teens who do not want to share a bed as they would as toddlers. The two room suite had a king sized bed in the bedroom for Dad and I, and it had a hide-a-bed and a murphy bed in the "living room." The kids appreciated having their own beds as was the goal when booking the room. The only draw back was that the hide-a-bed mattress was uncomfortable for our teenager:)
The room had a table adequate for a family game of UNO and a longer table for a board meeting. The kitchenette was just a tiny sink, a microwave, and a fridge with a glorified mini-bar. good thing we did not plan to stay loinger and cook a meal!
If we need to be in the Sauk City area, we will return! We will also eat again at The Shed in Spring Green!

This was my third stay in the last 3 years at the Cedarberry. This is one of the nicest, independent motels you will ever fine. The rooms are spacious with all the standard in-room amenities that are standard these days ie. coffee maker, iron/ironing board, hair dryer, etc.
You can even buy beer & wine at the front desk (it is Wisconsin, eh!?) and order pizza delivered to your room 24/7.
The indoor pool is larger than most hotels and the hot tub and sauna are also refreshing and relaxing.
The only thing that needs some attention is the beds need some attention. This place has been open for 14 years and the mattresses have seen better days. Other than that, it's definitely worth every $.
