My neighbors and I decided we didn't want to drive far so we thought we'd try the Fireside as most of us, though we live nearby, rarely eat here. We we reminded why. The prices on the menu would lead you to think you'd be getting upscale food. Well, our salads were clearly poured out of a bag with a pepper ring on top, the cheese on the baked french onion soup tasted and felt like a processed slice of kraft cheese and the vegetables on the primavera were clearly frozen vegetables that weren't even steamed properly. There were still hard and crunchy! not fun to eat. The portion that was provided on the seaood platter was pretty skimpy for $20! All four couples that ate with us felt the same way. We could've done better at home. Also, whenever the bus boy wasn't clearing a table he leaned against the bussing station with an angry look, watching us eat. It was a bit uncomfortable. I will give them an "A" for the Old Fashioned. It was the best part of the meal.
Sorry, even though we live 5 miles away, we won't be back soon.
