“Fish Fry”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2012

Over priced fish fry the $8.95 fish fry is not worth the trip. What you get is 3 small peaces of fish
under cooked potato pancakes and a one slice of rye bread. Do not order the claim soup unless
you like a bowl of milk.

But if you like a good mixed drink then you came to the right place, the bar man knows his stuff.
The prime rib is the best in the area.

“Homemade pleasure”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2012 via mobile

Our first visit to Shady Sue's. We found the atmosphere nice and cozy. The bar surrounded by the dining room could be convenient if you want to catch a quick drink before dinner, but as far as the dining experience it seems a little crowded. Our young server seems to be a little lacking in experience, but eager to please and very attentive. I had Maryland crab cakes (app) and a ribeye steak. The ribeye was well cooked and tasty (with a juicy steak, don't know why the store bought au jus). The crab cakes were good and the chef (Sue) made the effort to ask my opinion as she was using a new recipe. My wife had a lovely shrimp cocktail and scallops. The only problem was not getting the scallops seared as requested, but that seems to be the norm up this way. It appears that as much as possible is homemade which makes for a nice change. I would definitely return again.

“Best of the Best”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2012

What a great place! Excellent menu range both dollar and variety, however I did go with the special of the nite Crab Stuffed Shrimp wellington...It was GREAT! I also ordered the twice-baked potato and enjoyed that as well (I noticed the additional cost listed in the menu as ala cart and it was well worth it!) We will be back everytime we are in the area. Thanks for great food, great drinks and a great time!

“Disapoointing”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 8, 2012

The food was not very good. The chicken was just average. I also had the twice-baked potato. It was like potato soup and nasty. The waitress also did not mention when giving me the option of potato, that the twice-baked cost $3 additional! They should have given me the $3 for attempting to eat it!
