“Surprisingly good...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2014

We were here to celebrate a birthday. Our waitress was superb, handling all eight of us with professionalism and ease. Food was surprisingly good with reasonable prices. No one in our party of 8 had any complaints. Would eat here again next time we're in town.

“Saturday lunch”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2014

Came here a few years ago. Interior hasn't changed at all. Very old looking. Kind of dingy. Could use a makeover.

Upon recommendations that they had great salads, we took a chance. We had a very nice server, Matthew. I had a greek salad that was really lacking in taste. Iceberg lettuce that seemed quite bitter. One anchovy. One cucumber slice. 4 cherry tomatoes. Quite a few greek olives & tons of feta cheese. Definitely have had better.

Hubby had a baked Reuben. It was like an open faced sandwich. Lots of meat. He enjoyed it.

Granddaughter had a gyro that looked tasty. It came with soup & she wanted the onion soup but that was ala carte. She still ordered it & said it was good.

The restaurant offered free spice cake for dessert. It was light & flavorful.

“Nice atmosphere, good food and drink”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2014

Dining area and bar. Nice but not pretentious (no table cloths). Dining at table or booth. Lovely menu with some Greek items. Fish dishes (walleye, cedar-planked whitefish) were very good. Wisonsin craft beers on tap. Service was attentive and courteous. Some nights there is live entertainment.

“Great steak”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 20, 2014

Visited the Pub with friends to celebrate my birthday. We started at the bar and the bartender was an older gentleman who was SO nice and poured very generous glasses of wine for us ladies :)
Salad and dinner rolls were a little bland and average but the entrees were all wonderful. I had the ribeye which was perfectly cooked and had amazing flavor. Will be having it again. Also the dessert choices were awesome and delicious!

“Average place”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 18, 2014

Rhinelander Café & Pub is a good place to eat but it is just average. The food was cooked fine. We both had fish. My wife had haddock and I had the catfish. The restaurant was a bit overwhelming because it is a bar and we walked in during happy hour and it was loud and we did not know where to check in. If you are a regular that is okay but for a first time visitor it was not a good experience and the waitress was not too interested in answering questions about the menu. All the food was of good quality.
