I cannot express how much I appreciate Asiana. If you are looking for an unpretentious, but wonderful eating experience, this is the place to go. Don't let the basic, in some ways stereotypical Chinese restaurant decor fool you. The food is fresh and so tasty. The service is supreme-- each time the owner has been the one to take our order and prepare the food. My cousin came in from Europe looking for a Japanese speciality dish that was not on the menu, and she accommodated him. He raved about the authenticity and quality of the meal, and he lived in a small village in Japan for 8 months. My orders were also cooked to perfection, were delicious and very fresh. I chose a few appetizers and the won ton soup as a main course, the latter of which is an amalgam of the traditional type of won ton-- sans the msg-- and french onion soup... delicious! The vegetable steamed dumplings were mouth watering, and the coconut shrimp was lovely... it didn't need the sauce as it was perfect on its own. Both of my experiences at the restaurant warrant my returning to sample new items, as well as re-ordering those that I enjoyed so much... did I mention the fantastic flavors of the steamed dumplings?! Wonderful food, service and company (everyone in the restaurant was happy, and it was not only due to the sake). I will definitely return again and I highly recommend this restaurant.
