“Not what I was expecting based on these reviews...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2012 via mobile

First of all, there is nobody that comes and makes fresh salsa or guacamole in front of you like others claim. We were one of 2 tables of people in the restaurant and our waitress forgot to bring us chips n salsa until less than 5 min before we were served our dinners. I had portobello steak quesadilla that was delicious but not worth $12.95. The wife had steak fajitas for 14.95...came out looking good but tasted heavily seasoned in taco seasoning...not the fajita taste we were expecting. Left a little disappointed and feeling like we overpaid for what we got!

“Amazing and Delicious”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2012

Javier runs a very special place. We started, as usual, with the tableside guacamole prepared exactly to our specifications by the most charming niece. (Everyone there is family). Then to the Specials of the Day. The soup was corn chowder -- like nothing I have ever experienced! Bold assertive flavor of the harvested-that-day sweet corn magnified by a blend of powerful and creative spices. Overwhelming flavor -- very unexpected from a "chowder". A John Philip Sousa explosion of flavors. The entree was handmade fresh ravioli. (What? in a Mexican Restaurant??) Javier is superbly trained and experienced in both Italian and French kitchens. He is a Master! The ravioli was subtle and exquisite. Warmly flavored, elegant and embracing. A most marvelous creation. Bartolotta eat your heart out! Javier's Cuisine is an incredible and unexpected surprise in a most unlikely space.

“Excellent Mexican food with a twist”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2012

So, it is a great Mexican restaurant without a doubt. But it has something else than other Mexican places besides the great food - first of all the tortilla soup - they kinda of prepare it in front of you which is really nice. They do the same with the Guacamole (the Guacamole Queen is in charge of this - a young lady that prepares the Guacamole in front of you). Besides the food, I loved the T-shirt of Javier's brother-in-law and how happy everyone on the staff is here. It puts you in a good mood. Excellent place! Highly recommended, and we're quite picky with our Mexican food.

“Great food! Friendly atmosphere.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 11, 2012

My husband and I usually try to stop by Javier's at least once a week. We both love their magaritas and fajita fingers! I also love their autumn soup and fried ice cream! Javier is always coming up with new inovative and delicious specials. All the servers and staff are very friendly and attentive. All and all a very satisfying dining experience!

“Citri-xellent!! and GF”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2012

The perfect summer blend of tart citrus pineapple, crisp greens, soft cheese, crunchy pecans, and grilled chicken topped with a melt in you mouth citric vinagrette makes the Citrus Salad a MUST enjoy - every time we try a new Javier dish it seems incredible he could have outdone himself when each new entry provides such a wonderful taste delight!
