“very good all the time”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 24, 2012

Been going here for the past 10 years, don't ever remember a bad meal! I like the fish and chicken dishes. It's a very nice Wisconsin supper club type place.

“Food is very good, service and atmosphere leave a lot to be desired”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2012

We used to keep The Roxy on our regular rotation but the last few times we have gone we have really been disappointed. I would say that I have never had anything bad to eat at The Roxy. The food has always been better than average. Someone said that The Roxy "defines" Oshkosh. I would say that's probably true in the sense that it isn't anything fancy, but the food is decent.
The problem(s) with The Roxy are: 1) Everything always seems dirty, especially the floors. I'm not sure if everything just gets swept onto the floor at the end of a seating, but I have never seen so many crumbs and such on a floor in a supposedly fine restaurant before. It's concerning to say the least. Reminds me of the old Ponderosa days with the little, manual sweeper that does nothing. The second issue is that there are some waitresses there that are just downright rude. We can put up with the long waits as that is to be expected but we will not sit in a dirty dining room and put up with rude service to boot. Again, it's not everyone but the last two times with two different waitresses is a bad trend. The Roxy is popular because Oshkosh has little else to choose from.

“Always a pleasure !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2012

never ceases to amaze me how they are able to serve such great meals over and over again. Their homemade soups are the best in
town, and their steaks and prime rib is always top shelf. Always nice
to see the owner come out of the kitchen in his chefs hat and jacket
and say hi to the patrons. Truly a special place!

“Great Supper Club”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 17, 2012

This a wonderful Wisconsin Supper Club, long established on Main Street in Oshkosh, serves a very good American/Continental Menu most nights and superb German Food on Tuesdays.

For 25 years, Chef Wolfie has presided over a noisely crowded bar and restaurant serving steaks, fish, pastas, ribs, schnitzel and you name it featuring solid 50s and 60s style American Supper club recipes. You can bring your yodel and alpenhorn with you for German night. It is like sitting down at my grandmother's table, so pass the sauerkraut and weinerschnitzel and enjoy.

If you are really hungry (and who isn't, at least on occasion), you can send your cardiologist to Chicago for the weekend and try their Cashew Chicken. I have ruined more than one diet plan on this dish. I dare you, too.

If you come on a Friday or Saturday evening, bring some friends and plan to stand up, drinking, talking, laughing and waiting for a table.

“Great Old Fashion Supper Club”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012

If you like the old fashiobn supper club atmosphere this is it. The food is good. The staff is wonderful and you aren't rushed to eat and get out the door for the next party. We ordered 1 of the 2 appetizer specials and they were out so we got the other one. We were a little disappointed but the other choice was good. I would recommend The Roxy but don't go if you are on a strict time schedule. Just sit back, relax and have a great meal.
