“EAA Air Adventure”

The historic home is inviting, comfortable, and peaceful. A well designed breakfast area - fosters morning socializing with other guests. The hosts (owners) are friendly, knowledgable, and practiced professionals - a pleasure to get reacquainted with yearly. The combination of the hosts and house offers a quality experience. The location is ideal to leave your car parked - within an easy 2 block walking distance of quaint downtown for the finest restaurants, shops, night life, farmers market, lake boating access, or community bus transit center. They don't raise their rates for conventions visiting town!

Room Tip: All the rooms have unique, yet neutrally soothing personalities - varying greatly in size and shape...

This is such a lovely place to stay and is located within a short walking distance to Main Street where there is shopping and restaurants. Nicole and Scott are such wonderful hosts, they made us feel welcome, their dinner recommendations are perfect and the whole house has such a nice and relaxed atmosphere. The wine hour was a great way to chat with the hosts, the other couple that was staying there and the chance to have some of Nicole's homemade bread which is delicious! The breakfasts are yummy and you will not leave hungry that is for sure. The room we stayed in was the "Belle Suite" and it was fabulous. I would love to go back and stay in another room since all of the rooms have their own character. Plus I would love to go back when it is warmer out to sit outside in their garden area. It looks peaceful and relaxing. Nicole helped me line up a spa day and it was just heavenly - better than what I thought it was going to be. Everything was perfect and I would love to come back for another stay with my husband sooner rather than later.

This was our second experience with a B&B, and it was great. It is located within walking distance to shops and restaurants.

We stayed in the Belle Suite. The room was clean and comfortable. The food was excellent. You will likely leave stuffed. Nicole and Scott were great hosts. We highly recommend staying here.

I can't say enough about the bed and breakfast. We had an amazing time. We had six in our group and all agree it was a fabulous time. The location is great, within walking distance to downtown and campus. The food was amazing, including the breakfasts and desserts. The wine hour was also awesome. The owners are fantastic, friendly, and fun.

Easy to find and as welcoming as any B&B ever. Nicole was warm and although we arrived later than planned, took the time to explain everything to us including a very good recommendation for dinner. We've stayed in B&Bs all over the world and rarely have we found anywhere as lovely. The decor pictures on the website don't lie or even exaggerate, the rooms are delightful. We stayed in the blue room.

Nice touches in the room included a choice of pillows, a mattress heater, and in room guestbook, a nice clean bathroom with an extractor fan for the shower steam... and the quirkiest toilet seat ever!! No keys was great too, just a passcode to get in the door. Church Street is quiet at night and even though we stayed on Friday night of university frosh week, we heard only one group of students going by.

We were there for our first night as empty nest parents, we wanted romance and luxury and we got it in spades.

Nicole's recommendation for dinner was a wine bar and she hit our wants right on with that. Clearly she and Scott have worked out different solutions for different guest needs - wow, SO much care and thought.

And breakfast - sooo delicious that we didn't need lunch. A choice of mains offered the night before meant that there was no confusion, the dining room is like sitting in a very smart large family home. Nicole and Scott were both there and nothing was too much trouble for either of them.

It's a great deal of work running a B&B, but Nicole has taken the entire B&B concept to a whole new level. We will be back and for more than 1 night next time... we were delighted to meet Nicole and Scott and the other guests, Oshkosk is a very cute little town, as cute as the name and delightfully situated on the lake. ALL GOOD!

Thanks Nicole and Scott!

Room Tip: All the rooms are lovely, the smaller rooms are plenty big enough and on the main floor, main street...

My husband and I stay in B&B's whenever possible when we travel. We were greeted promptly and warmly by Nicole and shown our room, the "John Rich" room, which after looking at all of the rooms in the house, this was my 2nd favorite - loved the blue room across the hall. It is not a large room, but it was appointed well, and has everything you need (blow dryer, extra towels, make-up washcloth, plenty of wonderful pillows, comfortable bed, large bedside tables and a large leather bench. No closet, but hooks are provided. If one is staying longer than a few days, then you might want a room with a closet. The toilet had a full-length wall for privacy, with shelves above it for towels, dryer, etc etc. There was a shower with a nice little cut-out to put your foot up to shave. It was small but nice. The commode in the room had doors below with extra towels and a shelf next to the mirror with 2 water glasses, and a little additional table beside the commode for cosmetics, etc.

Wine (Malbec and a Pinot), assorted cheeses, and crackers (lovely selection) were provided at cocktail hour, and it was LOVELY. Nicole recommended a Wine Bar & Restaurant just a couple blocks away on Main street - nice easy walk - and the food was fabulous as well as the atmosphere. When we got back to the Brayton, Nicole had a tray of Large fudgy brownies for an evening treat. Another nice touch. For breakfast the next morning, we had a choice of a backed egg dish served in its own souffle dish, or creme brulee french toast. Before breakfast was served, Nicole served us a dish of watermelon and feta cheese. Refreshing start to the meal. My husband chose the eggs, which were accompanied by Nicole's Grandmas recipe for Poppyseed bread. Larry loved it. I have a severe dietary restriction, so Nicole made me her awesome "baked oatmeal." For beverages they offered a couple different juices, assorted teas and coffee.

When we left, Nicole made sure to be there and wished me luck with my health and that she hoped to see us again. If we are in the area, we will definitely be staying at the Brayton B&B. Thank you Nicole and Scott

Room Tip: John Rich and Blue Room (Can't remember the name) are the smallest, but lovliest!! The large su...

Our group visits a different B&B every year. Brayton B&B gets an A+ for rooms, food, location and our friendly and accommodating hostess Nicole. Above and beyond any of our previous experiences, we all say "thank you"!!
