My husband and I were so impressed with the understated elegance of this boutique hotel. Kevin was a warm and friendly host, and his breakfast was yummy. We'll certainly be back.

Having seen the hotel before (but never stayed there) we decided on a whim to take a little getaway for some R&R and booked a room at this hotel. We have stayed in other really great places in Mineral Point and thought we would enjoy trying something different on this trip. The hotel itself, the lobby, staff and rooms are nice. However, when the neighbors in the adjoining room turned on their water to shower my husband and I both jumped like we had been shot! It was like someone opened a small fire hydrant right next to us.....the plumbing is very, very loud and the rooms have VERY minimal sound insulation so we could hear practically everything our neighbors said, when they went to the bathroom, when they were drying their hair.....and not in a muted sort of way. Then we discovered our room had no soap except for some liquid Rosemary/Mint bodywash next to the tub, there were no washcloths except for a very dirty one left on top of the headboard of our bed assumably left by the maid. The entrance door to our room has a transom window above that is clear glass and is open to the hallway where the overhead lights are left on overnight so you have the bright light of the hallway shining right in on your bed at night. So between the noise and the light it was not a very restful night sleep to say the least. It is cute and the people are nice, but for a restful trip I would not choose to stay there again myself.

We were in a mission to discover the other Wisconsin, that is, the small towns and rural areas. We found this little nice hotel online. We were very impressed by the huge framed art pieces in the lobby. Check in was quick and staff was very friendly. We drove a long distance to get here and got to Mineral Point with empty stomachs. The hotel's restaurant was closing, but they were willing to serve us what was still available on that day. Rooms were a delight with comfortable bed, fresh linens, and spacious area. This is a very romantic place with a lot of attention to details. Nights were quiet, although we heard our next door guests chatting early in the morning (probably due to thin walls). Everything was neat and clean. This place has a great location and is very affordable for the quality and attention you receive. Mineral Point is a small town with a lot of history and this hotel has the ambiance and staff that truly invites those visiting to stay longer.

We atayed at the hotel a few weeks ago and it was a beautiful fall weekend! The hotle is charming. we were in the largest room upstairs and had a small balcony that overlooked the river behind the property. The hosts were great, providing us with drinks when we got there, breakfast each morning (the first morning was muffins, fruit parfait and juices, the second morning was oatmeal with acccessories, fruit and more juice). The toiletries are all-natural and smell great. I found the conditioner to be weird, as I have thick hair, but only a minor inconvenience. The hosts are very gracious, but not intrusive. They are available to answer questions and provide assistance as needed. The hotel was completely booked as it was Badgers Homecoming but I didn't really notice that other guests were there, even in the room right next to ours. The fridge in the room and the coffee/tea makers with organic tea are nice touches. If we stay in Mineral Point again, we will definitely stay here!

My husband and I and another couple stayed at the Mineral Point Hotel for 3 nights in early July and had a wonderful experience. It was our 2nd stay there and we found the rooms very comfortable--we've stayed in both 1840 and 1820. The beds were great, and the rooms very spacious so you can really spread out. It was a perfect place to stay to explore SW Wisconsin. We brought our bikes and biked from Mineral Point on several of the country roads in the area--some of the best biking we've done in the Midwest. Richard gave us the choice of breakfast in our room or in the dining room or outside on the patio. Lunch at Cafe Ellie out on the patio was yummy. It was fun to be in such a historic town and we enjoyed the galleries and shops. Only a half hour from Spring Green so we were able to go to plays at APT and visit Taliesin. Room 1940 on the back of the hotel with its own balcony was the quietest room. Very conveniently located--right on one of the main streets in downtown Mineral Point.

We spent one night at the Mineral Point Hotel. We stayed in room 1820, which is large, bright, beautifully furnished and immaculate. The king size bed is very comfortable with lots of huge pillows. The room was furnished with a flat screen TV, a table and chairs, a leather chair you could really sink into, and a regrigerator. We also had a nice sitting room attached to our room. The bathroom had a soaking tub and was stocked with very nice soaps, lotions, shampoos and conditioners. The breakfast in the morning was brought to our room and was continental. The portions are generous and very good quality. You have a french press in the room for making coffee and a selection of teas. There is also a cafe downstairs which serves lunches and I believe dinners. The hotel is located within easy walking distance of restaurants, antique shops, and galleries. I highly recommend staying at the Mineral Point Hotel for a nice and relaxing evening.

Too bad the previous reviewer had such a bad experience. My wife and I have found that the Mineral Point Hotel is a consistently great place to stay. Molly, the manager, goes out of her way to make guests welcome, and she has always provided us with the highest level of service and attention. The hotel itself is bright, clean, quiet and just as comfortable as the finest hotel. It is located right in the center of the few lovely little galleries and shops of Mineral point, and it is right down the street from Restaurant Four, home of some the best pizza this side of Napoli. Our provided breakfast this morning consisted of fresh scones, freshly squeezed orange juice, great coffee and fresh fruits and berries....all delivered right to our room door. It is also noteworthy to mention that all rooms are stocked with specialty hand creams, body lotions and herbal soaps. And to greet you at the door is one of the nicest dogs to ever grace the planet, Allie. Bravo Mineral Point Hotel.
