This hotel is ok. It's an awesome hotel to stay at if your going to a BREWERS game only. The walk to the park is not a bad one and a lot of people are with you when you walk back at night. The parking lot is small and you really have to look for the driveway to turn in off of National Dr. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, but the walls and doors were not sound proof. I would only stay here if I were going to a brewers game. If going to a brewer game, I would suggest getting to the game 2 hours early and eating at the TGI Fridays by left field, it’s cheaper and better food. Beer is 5.25 for a 24 oz beer at Fridays and 6 for a 16 oz beer inside the stadium. Have fun.

This hotel is located near the baseball stadium. While the area looks okay it is in the inner city. We didn't feel unsafe though. The room was a nice surprise. It was large and clean. Only 1 small elevator. Skip the bar/restaurant in the basement. The theme is baseball but it would have more exciting to eat at the McDonalds down the road a little.

I would agree that other Best Westerns I have stayed at (in Madison, Rockford, and Augusta, ME among others) are more elegant than the Woodsview. In that sense, this is certainly a below-average Best Western. However, they are also more expensive; this hotel was a good value. Our price in the high $50s a night was much cheaper than one would expect to pay downtown and offers free parking in the back. There is a significant AAA discount here. The "woods" I think they're referring to is the veterans complex at "Wood, Wisconsin", which is just down the street. It's not a forested setting to be sure; it's on National Avenue in the blue-collar suburb of West Milwaukee, not far from the West Allis border. It would be very handy for someone visiting the VA hospital just down the street. Everything worked just fine in our simple but comfortable room. Our view was of the parking lot and back end of the hotel and apartment complex--not glamorous to be sure. The building exterior is an unremarkable brick structure (with some stone decoration) of 1960s style. The indoor pool area is very cheerful and attractive and there is a small outdoor patio adjacent. Service was efficient and very helpful and the hotel is clean throughout. One thing that attracted us was its close proximity to Miller Park. The clerk gave us directions to walk through the veterans complex that got us to the park in a very pleasant, largely wooded 20 minute walk. I would think this is the closest place to stay to the ballpark, and the walk sure beats fighting stadium parking and traffic. We would gladly stay here again.

Expecting more from a Best Western. I have stayed at many Best Western Hotels & enjoyed myself but this was below average. All except the pool & hot tub & main desk operator were good but all else was below average. Requested a non smoking room for my 2 year old daughter and received the opposite. Had to switch rooms in the middle of the night because of the noise in the next rooms which we complained about 2 times earlier. The rooms could use some modern updating. Very bland, nothing special. Very disapointing.

Good location, but didn't see any "WOODS". Very nice room, elevator is appreciated. Outside parking is behind the hotel, crowded & rather inconveniently located far from the front entrance. Service was fine, overall a nice place to stay.
