“Fine Dining”

They make their sorbet homemade! It is delicious. And their steaks are cooked perfectly to order. This is the only place I have eaten salmon and it not being over cooked or dry.

“Overpriced and underperofrming.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2012

As with most of the Bartolotta resturants the prices are high and they are typically even higher than you see on the review sights. The food presentation is done well but there is nothing exceptional about the food itself.

“Premier dining experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 12, 2012

This was our first time at one of the Bartolotta restaurants. You can tell right away it is a very nice place with quality service and high end food. The wine menu is very extensive. I am not a big spender so I did feel a little out of place at this restaurant that is well above my usual spending bracket. We had a gift certificate so we decided to splurge and use it, because our fairly conservative order was still well above the certificate. We went there knowing that this place would be a real treat for us. It was very worth the splurge. I ordered just a single glass of wine, but you could really find any wine you are looking for by the bottle or the glass. We only ordered main courses, but the soups and salads offered sounded delicious. And we also skipped the truffles that were the special offered for the day, and the $45 cheese. They have some other fabulous sounding cheeses also. Our entrees were beautiful and delicious. We shared a dessert and I can't imagine one person being able to eat the praline genache. It was so rich I can't imagine eating it all. Mini desserts would be nice, especially since they have small plates on the menu for sampling entrees. The passion-fruit sorbet was a perfect side to offset the decadence of the genache. Even though I may never get back there again, I would go if I could. It was wonderful The only bad thing was I felt our server dismissed us for another table of big spenders. Oh well. Everything was still good.

“Great bar, service, and food quality”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 5, 2012

Looking for that special place to take your significant other to dine in elegance? This is a good place... the food was excellent, the bartender - skilled and very helpful... only reason I did not rate it overall "excellent" --- the seating for "two" is along a long bench within close proximity to the other guests... not so private. But, heh - if you're their to enjoy and don't mind being a gregarious visitor - it's a great place!

“A fine place”

Great menu, outdoor seating in the summer, a terrific bar. Very convenient downtown location a short walk from the lakefront museum and the Pfister Hotel.
