“Well worth the visit”

We arrived just as a wedding was ending. It was lit up and looking amazing. If you are anywhere near this, you must stop by.

“Historic Beauty”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2012

We attended Sunday mass at the Basilica & took a tour afterwards. The history of this church is incredible. A must see even if you aren't Catholic.

“Amazing!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2012

We went to Mass here at 10:00, and there was a short 'guided' tour and explanation after the Mass. The view of this church is amazing everywhere you look. From the exterior, full of architectural beauty, and the inside is just gorgeous. Every single thing was decorated, the ceiling and walls are full of paintings of Jesus and the saints. The pillars were sculpted marbles, and the stained glass were beautiful, too. Definitely a must see for visitors, considering it is free and oh so beautiful.

“Beautiful! Beautiful!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

This Basilica is so beautiful. It is modeled after St. Peters in Rome. Lots of local history. We attended Mass on Saturday evening and between the beauty of the building, the organ music and the wonderful lady singing....you would think you were in heaven. Not Catholic? It is still worth visit as the architecture and materials used to build it is amazing. In the 1920's it was one of three Basilica's in the United States. Will return on my next visit to Milwaukee.
