when you can have some great food right here at this little joint.
Located in an area populated by Hispanics, The neighborhood is full of sounds and smells of Mexico. Some Mexican bars, grocery stores, church's, and food carts, run up and down 16th street. So it would have to be good to survive this area.and this restaurant is good. Selling a "SIMPLE" very small menu of some tacos, tortas, and a few small "plates" Also serving Menudo and Pozole. on the weekend. The restaurant is average size but has a Mexico feel to it, This is not a "fake" Mexican restaurant for whitey.
So keep your sour cream request to yourself.
tongue tacos,,,absolutely perfect
dried beef tacos,,,very good
and I drank the Horchata, which was very good.
they are all good. they are the little small simple tacos, just meat, cilantro onion, some lime. A covered tray of vinegar based vegetables is on the table for your relish needs.
I would pass on the rice and beans, not worth the stomach space. just stick with the tacos.
The service was ok, but no English spoken, and that could be a problem with some.
Also no beer served, or Alcohol.
The neighbor hood is dicey at night, so come during the day or with friends.
