Three Brothers is a Serbian Restaurant on the far Southside of Milwaukee. It has been there since time began. About 15 formica topped tables, wooden chairs, and old fashioned bar and it is in a very old building that used to be a Schlitz(the beer that made Milwaukee famous) tavern complete with the ball on the top. The specialty is obviously Serbian food served with love and pride. Small waitstaff that is attentive and the food is great. I had a spinach and cheese burak(Grandma's traditional recipe). My only complaint, was that I'd hoped to have desert, and I couldn't even finish the burak after sampling some stuffed grape leaves and sheep's cheese. I love places like this.........old, established and in ethnic areas of the city. If you are looking for flash and sizzle of some kind, you may not like the atmosphere, but I personally think that part of the attraction is the lack of flash. Nice people, great food and a relaxing atmosphere. There is plenty of parking on the street.
