Business dinner with fellow foodies. We shared several appetizers- the foie gras poele and escargots were amazing, while the tartare de boeuf good but not stunning. I greatly enjoyed the braised rabbit/shepherd's pie but felt the veggies were quite crisp and should have been softer- a very minor concern.
Some items on the menu are classic, and are perhaps dated (in the case of the duck w/ lentils and dover sole drenched in brown butter) - but classic French cuisine nonetheless and comforting to those of us who revel in it.
I found the wine list well-built and the wines by the glass ideal choices and pairings- the sommelier here is skilled and savvy! Finally- our server, Jennifer, was phenomenal -I can't sing her praises highly enough. Joyous, a great listener and detail oriented, she sized up our wants and was a pleasure at every moment. Ask for her, it will insure your delight when dining here.
