“End of employment luncheon!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 8, 2013

Seven of us went to Wolf Peach for lunch to celebrate my contributions to the company. (They are closing soon, and I am soon to be out of a job!). Sandwiches were large and tasty! Potato herb soup was delicious, and our waitress did a very good job. We sat out on the south porch overlooking the city of Milwaukee....warm and lovely.

“Nice but Noisy”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2013

The Wolf Peach has transformed into a European tapas type restaurant. ( ie.. Girl & The Goat if you are from the Chicago area) Eclectic selection of small dishes. Nice selection of gluten free options and substitutions available. Extensive wine list and knowledgeable bar staff. Service was attentive and knowledgeable despite the place being packed on a Saturday night. Noise is an issue. Need to have "shout"versation to be heard. A little sound proofing please!

“Great Meal - Spotty Execution”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2013

This was our first visit since the restaurant changed from Roots to Wolf Peach. The atmosphere in the building was high energy and busy on a Saturday evening. Our server was very knowledgeable and friendly, but we had a couple of instances where we struggled to get her attention during the meal.

The pace of the experience was perfect. Food arrived from the kitchen fairly consistent. The flavors of the food were exceptional - our only regret is two consecutive courses - the scallops and the lamb - were tepid at best - nearly cold. The flavors however were perfect.

The wine list was well-constructed at lower price points - lots of affordable options.

Overall - the food was good but the execution was a bit spotty. (food temperature and service). We'll definitely give it another try.

“What a great Sunday Brunch Spot!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2013

I love to take my wife here for Brunch. I truly enjoy the Eggs Benedict with a Blood Mary. The view is amazing in the restaurant. The food is incredible.

The Food - I was dumbfounded to find out they have a butcher on staff and they butcher some of their own meat. The local food is amazingly fresh and tasty.

Reservations - I would strongly recommend getting reservations. This place is packed every Sunday Morning.

Interior - Nice industrial look, very modern. I loved looking out over Milwaukee. I would like to come back in the summer and sit outside.

I tried to stop here when it was Roots, but it closed before I could stop in. I am glad I tried Wolf Peach when it opened.

“Great place to try new things”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2013

Had a wonderful Good Friday dinner at Wolf Peach. Very non-traditional experience. Smaller-plate dining, meant to share--great way to try new things. We had octopus, sweetbread (this is not bread by the way...google it), and chicken sausage among a few other things. All were very well prepared and unlike anything we've ever had before. They have more traditional foods on their menu too, but we were feeling adventurous.

One of our servers, Brenton, was tons of fun. He took time to carefully explain the dishes as the food came out...made the experience even better by helping us understand the thinking behind the food!

The place is upscale but very casual. Same great views of Milwaukee we loved about the old Roots, and restaurant continues to focus on local foods. Wine and beer list are on par with the rest of the menu. Prices are on the high side for small plate style, but you get what you pay for. Highly recommend!
