What a great place to visit on a hot day when the kids need to get out. They are always changing and adding things to stir things up a bit. The IMAX theater there is fun as well. There are always discounts to be found so do a simple search before you go.
My two boys love it but it is a very low tech place (which is great). There is a kind of bizarre turnstyle with Native Americas wearing various ornate outfits they love, an old street in Milwaukee, and lots of artifacts from various historical eras. For two kids who like xbox, they love going there!
We spent four hours here and it wasn't enough time. There is so much to see and learn. We enjoyed all the different exhibits, especially the butterly room and the mummy exhibit.
This museum is perfect for a few hours of entertainment. It would be good for families with children as it is not too big or too crowded. The butterfly room was fun.
Enjoyed the whole experience, a very well run museum in all respects. The live butterfly room was wonderful, great to watch the kids expressions when they encountered the insects. Would go back next time I am in town.
