“Nice hotel but don't book it for the Brewers shuttle”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2014

Nice hotel and the shuttle driver did everything he could, but the "shuttle" is a 14-passenger van. At the end of the game there were about 100 people waiting for the shuttle and there is no reservation system so getting on the van is a free-for-all. Sad to say, the first trip was filled by the young and pushy even though there were handicapped individuals and families with small children waiting. Because there is only one van and it needed to fight gameday traffic over and back, at least 2/3 of the people who wanted to get on it gave up and took a cab (or arranged alternative transportation) rather than wait and fight their way on. Still I'm giving the hotel a 4-star review because the room was nice and the staff friendly, but if you're booking it for the shuttle, you're making a mistake.

why pay to park!!!!!
Rediculous!!! I travel a lot and this is the first hotel that charges to park at their hotel. What choice does the traveler have when they make a reservation. They don't know until they check in.

I have stayed at the Ambassador several times and it has always exceeded my expectations. The room was comfortable and quiet, the food in both the Envoy and Caffe Deco delicious and the staff goes out of their way to please.

Our first choice when traveling to Milwaukee. Beautiful hotel; rooms are large and always clean. A great bar to start or end your night. Always good dining options, from room service to late night to Sunday brunch. Wonderful service from everyone. Complimentary shuttle service cannot be beat!

Having stayed in many places in Milwaukee, we really enjoyed this one. Has nice bar and restaurant and they provide free shuttle to downtown Milwaukee. The hotel is almost 100 years old but is well maintained and has large rooms.

Room Tip: Corner room was large. Perfect for 2 adults and 2 kids.

I have stayed here twice because of priceline with 4 star rating. I much prefer Hilton, Interncontinental or Hyatt (other possible Priceline hotels) but sometimes I get the Ambassador. The hotel is old but very well maintained and rooms are modern. The location is near Marquette and you can't walk into town, river walk, etc. The shuttle from the hotel is very accomodating but it isn't the same as being able to walk out and go to the River Walk. Good choice only if location is not important.

Stayed the night before Summerfest Rock 'n Sole Run. Convenient location, reasonable price, large room, vety clean. Classice art deco style building with modern, updated guest rooms. Definitely recommended!
