I know, this review has no catchy title but has the location and trail instead - I decided that was more helpful.
My husband and I hiked the trail today, 9/30/2012, and took the expert level Green Loop with the short Observation Loop as well. All told, we hiked about 5.1 miles. This is not a simple afternoon jaunt in flip-flops. The trail has many hills and quite a few were exposed stones, rounded from the glacial action. Wear boots and bring water.
We hiked the trail in 2 hr and 5 minutes but that was with minimal stopping. There are some wonderful old oak trees that we got to see and many songbirds. The Observation Loop overlooks the town of Ottawa.
This hike is a good workout and I highly recommend it!
