“It is alright.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2012

ometimes I question my loyalty. Over the past 3 years, For every Milwaukee visit I have been staying at this Ramada. Lots to like:
1. Free shuttle to the airport.
2. Rooms are big and comfy.
3. Wonderful Lobby, bar, swimming pool and workout area.
4. Affordable price: You can normally get a king size room for $65 per night including all taxes.
5. The Best showers.
6. Free breakfast.

Lots to Dislike:
1. Micro size bathroom. Bathrooms are smaller than most walk in closets.
2. Slow Slow, Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi is so slow, most web sites will not load.
3. Old 27 inch CRT TVs.
4. Not good customer service. This is very hit and miss. About a year ago this Ramada changed ownership. Since then customer service has taken a back seat. Better hope the front desk person is having a good day. Also, I have never seen a crankier house keeping staff.
5. Rooms. Some of the rooms have new carpets and beddings. But all rooms have the pesky, not working Selectcomfort beds. If you get an upgraded room, good, if not the room actually stinks of mold and mildew.
6. Bad clientele. This is the cheapest hotel close to the Milwaukee airport, so it has become the hangout of riff raff. On the last visit the clientele was scary. Not so good people were hanging out in the hallways. Loud music and people running in the hallways till midnight. There was a loud argument in the parking lot at 200am in the morning.

Yes, there are lots of hotel choices on 13th St. Look elsewhere for peace of mind.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms on the 3rd floor. Overworked Housekeeping normally never gets to clean the 3rd floor roo...

First time we have stayed at this hotel- and the last. Where to start: stains on the carpet, balcony door did not close. Any price is too high! The staff was unprofessional, elevator started and stopped, even felt a bit unsafe. We asked for information on calling a taxi and were told that he did not have information. Stay anywhere else- plenty of choices in the area!

A first floor room, very nice but typical Ramada. For the price most pay, more room features should be included (such as a fridge, microwave). The rooms were excellent though! One of the most comfortable hotel beds in quite some time. This was a business trip, and as usual some type of event was going on in the conference center. The WI FI worked great, however the printer in the Business Center was broken, front desk staff was not able to troubleshoot it and called a service tech, however that person arrived too late for my needs to be met.

Pros: Comfortable Rooms

Cons: Business Center

I have stayed at plenty hotels/motels/suites and NEVER have I stayed in such a worse hotel! I received a confirmation from Ramada themselves that I was set for my stay. When I arrived, they did not have my room! I ordered two queen and got ONE! My kids and husband can not fit into one queen! Then the rude front desk lady told me that they can add a roll-a-way for an extra $10 a night. WTH!! I shouldn't have to pay fot their stupid mistake! I have paper proof on THEIR letterhead of my proper booking!!

After arranging a temporary room with the manager, I found the doors and elevator smaller than normal. It was extremely hard to get the luggage cart in the room. We had to unload in the hall. Then our patio door was screwed shut, we couldn't get fresh air or some relief from the musty hotel room smell. Then after waiting 1.5 hrs, we had to contact the front desk to REMIND them of our roll-a-way bed. After what we've been through, you'd think you would want to make up with the guest.

Lastly, I had an early wake up call at 5am but got an earlier wake up call from their fire alarm that went off TWICE!!! When the front desk was contacted, they had said something was wrong with their system. A young gentleman was working the desk this night at 12am.

Now instead of enjoying my two night stay, I have to worry about lack of sleep and not getting too comfortable because I'm being moved into a new room tomorrow afternoon.

Don't waste a penny of this place. They make the Ramada name truely a dump. A shame I will never stay here or another Ramada again.

Worst hotel experience EVER!!!! When we checked in the persons at the desk were really rude. We never got towels we had to ask for them, we had to use our beach towels to dry ourselves off. They never replaced the coffee, cream, sugar, or cups. Our room was never cleaned!!! We made our own beds, trash was never taken out. Seems like they only concentrated on the first and second floors, because we never saw housekeepers in our floor and the hallways were always dirty!!! The management were suppose to call me back after calling the 800 number to complain its been eight days since and still no call!!!! WHERE IS THE MANAGER??? WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO THE NAME RAMADA??? THESE PEOPLE ARE REALLY TRASHING THE NAME!!!! LITERALLY!!!

Room Tip: Stay away from this motel hell!!!!

After staying at this hotel I learned the lesson "you get what you pay for!" It was the first time in my life that I had to wait in line more than 10 minutes to check in. There was only one person working on at the front desk. The hallways were like walking in a Stephen King book. Do they even own a vacuum??? The sleep number bed's did not work at all. The tv was completely out dated and buzzed. The window in the room opened up to a conference room that had been used as a wedding the night before and had not been cleaned since. The waitress at breakfast acted like she was one of Walter White from Breaking Bad's number one costumers!! I slept on the bed spread because the sheets looked liked two of the hotel's staff liked each other a bit to much. By the way, don't eat at Pipi's Pizza which is advertised on the room key unless you want cheese whizz pizza! Bottom line, don't stay here.

Room Tip: Stay at The Holiday Inn Express next's door. IT HAS A WATER PARK!!!!

From not enough towels for all the guests to dirty run down rooms...it was a very poorly managed hotel that should not even be connected to the chain of hotels that has such a good standing overall..the water was cold for showers and the hotel did not possess enough towels or blankets for all the guests..the air conditioner ran non stop and did not keep the correct temperature. The air conditioner also ran all over the floor..making the carpeting wet all weekend in both rooms we had...VERY VERY poor hotel!
