“Friendly Staff=Happy Guests”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2013

Great location for all of your downtown Milwaukee needs. The staff were genuinely friendly and accommodating, and the rooms clean and cozy. The price was fair for a downtown hotel and we had no problems using the Parking garage. The Milwaukee Public Market is a short walk away and a lovely place to grab some lunch or dinner. Also walked to the Art Museum and the lake front. Great getaway!

A group of 4 of us were staying down in Milwaukee for a show at the Riverside and this hotel could not have been in a better location! It was a really short walk to the theater. The breakfast in the morning was great & included basically everything you could think of including waffles with strawberries & whipped cream, biscuits/gravy, etc. The hotel was in good condition - if you looked closely at some things, you could see where they needed minor repair, but it was overall very nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again!

I was very impressed with the Hampton Inn in downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I stayed three nights on a work trip and I found the stay to be an overall very pleasant experience.

First impressions count for a lot, and the lobby is modern and comfortable looking. There was complementary ice water and coffee/tea available both day and night. Every single staff person I encountered said hello to me and smiled. It was clear to me that they have been taught the importance of customer service and that they embody that as part of their workplace culture.

My room was nice looking and a note on the bed told me that the duvet and sheets are washed each day (which is nice to know, since other places don't always launder the duvets). It was a fine size for just me. The room and the bathroom were clean when I got there and housekeeping did a fine job each day. My only complaint was that I had bad cell phone reception in my room (though the free wi-fi worked just fine).

They have a well stocked complementary breakfast which goes beyond the standard muffins and bagels to include hot items such as eggs and potatoes as well as oatmeal.

The location is right in the heart of downtown Milwaukee. As a business traveler it was nice to have shops and restaurants within close walking distance as I did not have a car.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a reasonably priced place to stay in downtown Milwaukee.

Attractive downtown property. Rooms were cozy and comfortable. Very helpful staff and excellent breakfast. We did experience some issues with the attached parking garage, the small sign out front was tough to read in the evening which indicated where to enter the garage. Also, the card swipe system got screwed up on several occasions and it took the front desk some amount of time to handle the screw up with the parking lot operators. Cell phone reception was almost non existent any where in the hotel. Great Irish pub next door.

Just got back from a great stay at Hampton Downtown Milwaukee. We were going to be in town for a comedy show and I looked at tons of hotels within the theater vicinity and did price comparisons. Hampton was the winner based on the price and great reviews on this site and other sites.

We also had a stroke of luck as I entered a contest for their Romance Package and we won! We received a night's stay, chocolate and champagne!! Since I already had a room booked, they were very accommodating to apply the winnings to our previous reservation. When we finally arrived we were pleasantly surprised since our room was upgraded to a Jacuzzi suite!

The hotel itself as well as our room was very clean and seemed to be recently updated. Our room was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable. We didn't take advantage of the pool or fitness center but checked both out and they appeared to be maintained. There is a drink station in the lobby that constantly has hot water, hot chocolate packets, tea, coffee and ice water. The free breakfast in the mornings was excellent! There were tons of offerings such as scrambled eggs w/ cheese, sausage patties, french toast sticks, fresh fruit, hard eggs, waffle station, cereals, oatmeal, english muffins, toast, etc. We loved it! There is also a small mini-mart that had snacks, cold beverages and other items such as toiletries.

There is a parking garage connected to the hotel and if you are a guest, you have in/out privileges for $13.50...otherwise if you park and don't leave until the next day it is $12.

Hampton Downtown Milwaukee was very accommodating and we will definitely stay here again and recommend to others!

Clean and friendly service. Good location downtown. Complimentary breakfast was good. Beds were very comfortable... Stayed overnight for business and was very happy with internet connections and conveniences. Only drawback was the room was hot and the thermostat did not function right but other than that would definitely recommend this hotel!

This hotel has all the basics. Convenient location for downtown Milwaukee, good service, good hot breakfast, clean rooms and all the basics you need. The garage is attached and provides easy access parking.

The morning offers an enormous selection from fruits, good coffee and hot breakfast items (that were different each day - which I thought was nice!)

The staff was super helpful on a very snowy cold winter night. The hot tub was out of service but that will happen!

Room Tip: There is no evening room service - so plan to head out to Mo's or several other nearby eateries...

Thank you so much for your feedback! I am so happy that the attached garage and complimentary breakfast were to your liking. We have many amenities that we hope our guests are able to enjoy during their stays with us. I did want to inform you that the whirlpool is up and running if you are looking to stay with us in the future. Our Wisconsin winters can be rough, but I am so pleased that our staff created a warm environment for you to enjoy. Thank you again, and we hope to see you again soon!
