“Good location, nice hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2012

This is a very nice hotel and we got a good rate for 2 nights because we pre-paid when we booked on line. We arrived about 12 noon so the rm wasn't ready. Eric was very nice & helpful when we asked about the parking, the baseball game & the shopping and other malls and places to drive to.. The front desk staff was also very friendly. We got back to hotel at 5 and got our room on the 5th floor, walked in and it was huge! we had a big corner room with lots of windows and a great view. 2 queen beds, flat screen tv nice bathroom and very clean. The beds & pillows were very comfy. The free breakfast available till 10 is very nice. They have a good selection of hot & cold items. Also they always have coffee & ice water available in the lobby. It was so hot out that one day the had a bucket of freezes in ice. This hotel is in a nice location downtown. and has a mall across the street. We went to the Brewers game one night, took the shuttle from Moes on the corner which is a great pub, just go early buy a beer and they will drop you off and pick you up. If I ever go back to Milwaukee, I will stay here again.

Located centrally to the convention center, Bradley center, Water St. area, and not far from the beautiful lake front and Marquette University area this hotel was a bargain for the location and its price. Our room included a separate sitting area that could be closed off with a separate TV, microwave, and refrigerator, so those who had trouble sleeping could go into another area of the room and not disturb others. The included breafast was very good. The room was clean, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. I would stay here again without any hesitations.

After dealing with a nightmare with hotels.com the staff (Especially Dave) took care of all of our needs. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for great customer service and a great location. Thanks for making things work Dave! - Andrew

My husband and I stayed at this hotel on July 27th. The hotel room we had was unique in the way it was constructed. It had a hallway and then turned into the bedroom. It was a corner room with windows on two sides and more room than most hotel rooms. Everything was spotless and all the staff was welcoming and helpful. We even had a night light in the bathroom. We arrived early and are room was ready and the staff offered sightseeing ideas, information on public transportation, restaurants etc. They were terrific. I would stayed ther again and recommend it to anyone going to Milwaukee.

We stayed Sat. and Sunday during Summerfest. Perfect location. We walked to the site of summerfest easily. There was a shuttle from Mo's bar and restaurant or from one of the nearby city bus stops if needed.
Near many eateries and shops. The location was perfect. It is also near many other Milwaukee attractions. There are wonderful old refurbished buildings mixed in with new buildings. The old downtown feeling which I love.
Warm cookies upon our check-in at the lobby as well as coffee and ice water.
The staff was very welcoming (Michael and Kelly at the front desk and all the lobby staff) and helpful.
The breakfast was really, really good with many healthful choices. The dining room was located near our room, spacious and good looking. The breakfast manager was continuously restocking and making sure all was clean. I would definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: We were away from the elevator, which was probably quieter.

My boyfriend and I spent two nights at the downtown Hampton Inn in Milwaukee recently. Our trip was to go see a Brewers-Cardinals baseball game. The front desk alerted us that a bar called Mo's on the same block has free shuttle service to and from the stadium. That worked great. The location isn't particularly scenic and neither was the view from our room 814. The king suite that we were in was a little oddly laid out, with the little living room area being a long way from the window by the bed. The breakfast was good and varied a little from day to day. I read some Trip Advisor reviewers complaining about the parking garage's link to the hotel, but I thought it functioned well. Compared to some other downtown hotels that charged for breakfast and WiFi, Hampton was reasonable. The staff were helpful and cheerful. I'd probably stay there again.

This hotel is in the perfect location. Bars, restaurants and attractions all within walking distance. The beds are comfy, the breakfast good, coffee always available, free wifi, and nice staff.
