“Nice average hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2014

I have now stayed in both the Pfister and the Intercontinental and now i made my reservation to Pfister. The hotel is nice and clean, especially the lobby and the location is great. I did like the gym a lot, it was rather big and it was great that they had a Sauna ( for a Finnish person it is a huge +). The service was very good and did not have any thing there to complain about. We were staying there for 4 nights and the first night we had a baby crying the hole night next door, which was not nice because we had a hard time sleeping also due to the time difference. I called the front desk to ask if the next door family were going to stay longer, which they did, so we asked if there were any available rooms. The lady at the front desk was nice and understandable and she said she could move us one floor lower, but the room was going to be upgraded. Very nice, even though we most definitely did not expect that and the room that we have was already very big and clean, plus it had decent view. So we moved to the "upgraded" room and it was terrible. The "view" from the window was to a back yard and the room had so called two separate rooms, but only one window. It looked like they had turned a closet in to a room plus it was a lot smaller. So we did not want to complain any more, we didn't come there to spend the time in the room. But an upgrade, NO, definitely not. But besides that, the stay was nice and nothing to complain.

This is a beautiful hotel right off the River Walk section of town and in a gorgeous downtown area.
Growing up I always thought Milwaukee was kind of blah (well it probably was in the 70's and 80's) but it's very cool now.
Could totally live here.

The hotel was very nice. Rooms were clean, staff friendly, lobby beautiful. Valet staff also very helpful. Parking was $32 a day for valet - which is the norm for Milwaukee. Hotel is located near the River and several awesome restaurants, a mall, and parks. We were able to catch a bus to and from Summerfest from a nearby restaurant. Weight room was huge! Loved that. Will definitely stay at this property again.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. it was our first visit to Milwaukee, and everyone was very friendly and gave us great tips for where to go and what to see. The hotel was clean and nice. It is in a great location downtown, in walking distance of many cool places, including the river walk and Old World Third Street and was right next door to the theater where we saw a concert we had come into town for.

Stayed here on a Monday night for business. Clean & comfortable rooms. Location is prime as it is right near everything you need to be happy.

Fitness facility was very well stocked with cardio machines, weight machines and free weights. It was also a great spot to view some city scape as you ran on treadmill or used elliptical.

There is a lobby bar and restaurant as well and if that doesn't suit you there are many bars and restaurants on Water Street just a few short blocks away.

$25 for parking but the garage is attaches to hotel so getting to and from with luggage is not a problem.

Over all it was a great stay in a nice hotel and I would stay here again.

Stayed here on our weekend getaway and the place was enjoyable. My fiancee has platinum status so we always get an upgrade to a suite when we stay in these hotels, I love it! The suite was amazing but the bathroom I wanted in my house. It was spacious, had great lighting and the shower head was like I was under a waterfall...fab! They even had robes and slippers for us to wear and a mini seating area with couch and table. The valet attendants and concierge were also very helpful. I believe David gave us great recommendations for eating (his favs, I like local recommendations) I thought he was the concierge! Everyone was helpful. Oh and they gave us a free fruit basket! Good deal! We'll be back.
