Went to see the Cirque du Soleil show and decided to book this hotel because it was new. Got there on a rainy night and the valets made sure we didn't get soaked. There is no public parking garage only parking spots for the motorcycle rider that the hotel boasts its theme around. From my understanding the owner is trying to purchase the lot next door to make an underground parking garage for the hotel. The lobby is very inviting and very spacious. The front desk is in an unusual spot, as its sandwiched between the elevators and the bar entrance. The room was absolutely incredible, and the amenities are plentiful. Very comfortable king size bed, 40" (I think) flat screen tv, all the hook ups in case you want to connect your pc to the tv, which we used to watch a movie or two. Most of the channels are in HD and offer a good choice of channels. Wasn't a big fan of the free WiFi in the room, although they do have a connection in case you bring a patch cord to connect to the internet that way. Wireless signal was horrible, might be due to some "bugs" in the service, not sure. Was able to get faster directions from my blackberry than the wireless connection. Bathroom was extremly nice although they could have spent more on the cheap toilet seat cover and for some reason there was no exhaust fan in the bathroom. Mini bar was fully stocked, from soft drinks to bottled water to wine. Bar area downstairs was neat. Every single chair was different than the rest. Our bartender (Amanda?) was very nice and very helpful with places to see and do...like the Safe Room! The server who's name I didn't get, gave us his sure fire recipe for Crab Cakes. Haven't tried to make them yet, but from the list of ingredients, it's going to be delicious. Note to him...GO TO CULINARY SCHOOL!! LOL!! Hadn't eaten all day and they weren't serving bar food til the next day, but the staff took care of us by bringing out kettle chips and little appetizers that will be on the menu.
They also allow pets, but only on the second floor and you must tell them before hand you are traveling with pets.
All in all it was a great stay at this month old hotel. We will definitely be back to try the restaurant. From the sound of the other reviewer, the staff here is willing to go the extra mile to keep their customers happy. Hope this doesn't change!!!
