“WOW!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2013

Stayed here for what was supposed to have been one night - and turned into two, because we didn't want to leave!! This has to be one of the most unique, well-run and just downright COOL properties we have ever stayed with. Service was impeccable and friendly, the rooms are just beautifully put together, and the food at the on-site restaurant was WONDERFUL. We will be back, the next time we need to be in Milwaukee there will be no other option. We interacted with the front desk, the bell staff, the bar/lounge, restaurant, gift shop ... everyone was friendly and helpful. Can't recommend any more highly.
We were on the 6th floor (highest floor) and the room was just awesome. Friends we were with had a king, and we had two queens .. king room seemed a little more spacious - but our two queen room not small at all! Plenty of room and great amenities. Nice gym. Double thumbs up. Can't wait to go back.

My husband and I stayed in Milwaukee one night as part of a weekend getaway. We both were absolutely stunned by the uniqueness of this hotel. The decor is amazing and breathtaking. We were also pleased by how much room was offered on the first floor for lounging/relaxing. We loved the room and found the toiletries/snack/drink/coffee offerings to be top notch. We had lunch at the restaurant (I think it was called Branded) and we were not disappointed. Prices were fair and the food was delicious. My only regret is that we did not spend both nights of our stay in Wisconsin here. One problem we did experience was that the valet damaged my husband's brand new car (paint scraped of the bumper and license plate dented in). We know the car was not damaged before we dropped it off because it is literally brand new. The valet is a separate company though so he is in the process of trying to resolve the issue with their management. Visit the Iron Horse-you won't regret it!

Room Tip: We were in room 612 and had a nice view!

This hotel is absolutely beautiful. Food is great and the rooms feel luxurious in an industrial way. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. Restaurant downstairs is vibrant and active. One of my favorite hotels I have stayed in.

The Iron Horse is a refurbished mattress factory. Part of the charm of Milwaukee is the former manufacturing turned trendy element in a lot of it's architecture downtown. Note there is really no parking at the Iron Horse, thus valet service is a staple. If you're coming for a weekend note there will be a party atmosphere and there may even be a welcome beverage offered to you by the front desk staff upon on a late Friday afternoon check in. The lobby is not just a waiting area, it's a nightly party! Close to the Harley-Davidson museum, this property is not truly walkable anywhere else, including downtown Milwaukee. Miller Park Baseball stadium is fairly close (approx. 2 miles) Cabs are recommended for sightseeing. Onsite food and beverages while delicious are not for anyone on a budget, but service overall is very good. In the summer, The Yard is a nice respite for cocktails and relaxation. However note that in summer Thursdays are Bike Night, and if you're not into a lot of engine revving, it may not be for you. Also note that a train passes by on a regular basis. Don't park on the street, you will most likely end up getting towed. Edgy, fun industrial chic, and a unique hotel experience.

Room Tip: The second floor overlooks the atrium lobby area which is fun. Ask the staff for a tour, they can s...

loved everything about this hotel, from the Harley located in the lobby to the excellent service from staff throughout the hotel. Bar and restaurants all excellent. Staff was extremely helpful during our entire stay. and, loved that they listed all the "pet" guests staying at the hotel that week.

Great two days excellent service and great rooms. Had route 66 brunch on Sunday very good and different food. This is an expensive place but the service and quality of the rooms make it worth it. We were in cars not bikes this stay so we also had to pay for parking.

Room Tip: People have fun at this hotel so avoid rooms by elevators if you plan to go to bed early.

I enjoyed this hotel. I stayed in it twice. Once with my husband for an anniversary trip, and once with my sister and mother for a girls weekend. It's a nice upscale hotel with friendly staff. Close to Harley Museum. Lots of wood/steel industrial feel that matches the city vibe and nearby Third Ward restaurants. Lots of custom art on the walls and a real cozy feel. Has on-site restaurant, bar, and outdoor patio which is great in the summer. The parking situation is a little bit of a put off. You can park on the street, but if you are there during the week, you need to call the police number (provided by check-in staff) to let them know where your car is so it isn't ticketed. They do have valet, but it's a little pricey at $25/night. But keeping in mind that this is an upscale hotel, so the price may not be so bad if you want to avoid a ticket. The rooms are interesting to look at, and the shower is semi-transparent in the single bed rooms, but that's no secret, they show that on their websites. The hotel is on the train tracks, and our room faced them directly, but we had no noise issues with that whatsoever. Which was very nice.
