“If you have to stay in the tower, choose another hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2013

I have stayed in the original hotel prior to this stay. If you have to stay in the tower you may as well be at the Ramada Inn. The carpet was very dirty. When I told the front desk about it they said that the tower was about to be renovated.

Room Tip: Stay in the original hotel

The hotel is beautiful but the rooms are not. Our room had stained carpet, a crooked bed, unstable headboards, and musty/moldy smell to it. Very disappointed! We were able to fix the crooked bed by stuffing a piilow between the boxspring and mattress. Not what you expect to do at a 4 star hotel. T\

Room Tip: Go to a different hotel.

Staff was helpful but not intrusive. Fitness center was above-average. In-hotel restaurants and bars were nice. In-hotel shops and resident artist were interesting. Room was beautiful, comfortable, and quiet. Wi-fi and fitness center were complimentary (no nickel-and-dime extra charges). Total win.

Absolutely delightful hotel which exceeded our expectations. My wife and I like staying at historic hotels. This one is one of the best! Sumptuous accommodations, great location in the heart of town and within walking distance to many sites. The staff could not have been nicer, upgrading us to a suite and having strawberries and champagne sent up to our room once they found out my wife and I were celebrating our 32nd wedding anniversary. How thoughtful !! We also had a great breakfast at their cafe, had fabulous cocktails at their 22nd floor lounge aka Blu, overlooking the City, and my wife even had a manicure in their salon. We will be returning next year with our adult children in tow as we told them this was not a place to be missed!

The hotel did not have the service or amenities you would expect when paying over $300 per night. The café in the hotel served really below average food. The rooms did not have heat this time of year. The club facilities were average.

A+ all round experience. Beautiful lobby and bar area. Our suite was most comfortable and very well appointed. Bathroom gorgeous and the bed luxurious. Staff all very helpful and friendly.
Great location and within an easy walk to the fabulous Karl Ratzsch Restaurant.

We checked into the Pfister Hotel for one night on the recommendation of a friend; greeted with a great warm welcome by Stephanie at the front desk followed by our bellman Shea's knowledge of and enthusiasm for Milwaukee and the Pfister Hotel's beauty we increased our stay a night before we even unpacked. This necessitated a room change due to a prior reservation on our assigned room. That first room was an enchanting room in the historic part of the hotel and the second room in the tower was a beautiful and charming modern room. The room change was swiftly accomplished with no bother to us. Each and every staff member with whom we met was friendly, courteous, accommodating and enthusiastic. Obviously there are many people behind the scenes who keep the Pfister beautifully cleaned and maintained. We thank you ever so much. The Pfister is a treasure with an amazingly wonderful staff.
