“Pleasant stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2013

Staff was excellent, good location, plenty of places within walking distance to eat. The structure of the hotel itself with the atrium is lovely however sound carries, therefore guests yelling in the lobby or on a different level sound like they are right outside your hotel room door. Nice sized rooms, comfortable beds, good water pressure.

After nearly swearing off ever staying in downtown Milwaukee again based on my experiences of the last 20 years, the Hyatt is a refreshing change. Nice room, renovated from the original 1980's decor. Good buffet breakfast which includes omelets to order and interesting baked goods. Only issues were minor, had to re-log in every time on wireless connection, not the best. Parking next door is outrageously priced ($25 a night), garage half a block away is $12 a night, lot two blocks away is $6 a night. To be fair the parking is not affiliated with the hotel. The garage itself is old, lights are out, and the road surface is in bad repair. It was never more than half full despite the fact the hotel was full, probably because it costs so much. Overall a good experience, much better than the Hilton two blocks away and I am a Hilton Gold member.

After flying in from the UK and driving 2 hours from Chicago O'Hare and feeling very tired, it was pleasure to be served by Rose at 333 Bistro Restaurant. She made me feel very welcome in a new place and was great in helping me decide what to eat.

Reception staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Although I didn't at first realise that I had the Regency Club card until later in the week.

I would definitely stay again.

When visiting Milwaukee the Hyatt Regency is the only place to stay. There are other hotels like The Metro and the Pfister but the Hyatt has everything you need in a great downtown location.
The staff is super friendly and the bellmen JR, Bobby and Mike are always there to help. The atmosphere is modern and the rooms are clean, roomy and consistently Hyatt.
The Bar in the lobby is vibrant and the bartenders are awesome especially Koty, and both Andys.
The rates are also very reasonable. The only disappointment is that they used to have a rotating rooftop bar/restaurant which is now closed and needs to be reopened.

Room Tip: Any of the high floors which are Gold Passport rooms. They have awesome views of the city.

Thanks for the great review...sorry that you were unable to access the Polaris - although it has been closed for a few years, we still use it for special events such as Mother's Day and Easter, so be sure to check back next year to experience the amazing view from atop the Hyatt!

We recently attended a conference and stayed 6 nights. The staff and amenities were great. The room was very spacious and clean without a fridge or microwave. I loved the Sky walk to the convention center. The hotel is located to great restaurants ,local trolley and bus transportation, walking distance to the River walk and many historic places. It is across the street from the Bradley Center, and the US Cellular Center. Loved my stay at the Hyatt.

the staff was excellent. very friendly and accommodating. Our room was clean and bathroom in good condition. the beds were so comfortable! Staff answered all our questions about the area, dining and amenities with a smile and friendly attitude. Easy access from I94 and close to good restaurants in downtown Milwaukee.

Recently stayed at Hyatt for a national conference and overall the hotel was pretty good. The customer service we received from everyone was excellent. Especially JR who is one of the valet attendants. He was awesome!!
