“Hidden Gem Great Breakfast!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2013

This small restaurant in downtown Middleton truly has great Mediterranean food. It also has a unique Greek flavor which just adds to the ambiance and the incredible menu. The breakfast are truly superb and they typically have a great special. You cannot go wrong by going to breakfast at Sofra in Middleton

“Great Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2013

Sofra is a nice family owned restaurant in downtown Middleton, Wisconsin. They serve Greek food and typical American diner fare, but they do it well and with a little flair. For example, for lunch I had a Greek salad with gyro meat on it. In addition to the regular ingredients in such a salad ( like kalamata olives, feta, red onions and lettuce) they included stuffed grape leaves which I've never seen in a Greek salad. Also, someone in the kitchen cares. My pepperocini was cut into small pieces, not the typical way they throw a couple of whole ones on the salad. Also, they serve a great breakfast, and they serve it all day.

“My favorite breakfast spot--great dinners, too”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2013

I am a huge fan of breakfast, so when I find a place that serves a good one, I keep coming back. The brunch menu on weekends is great with a wider selection than week day breakfast, but both are good. Dinner here is very good as well, with specials that are usually excellent and wonderful kabobs and vegetables. I don't eat much meat, but love the Albanian sausage--it is on the menu at both breakfast and dinner and it is great. Dinners come with soup or salad--if they have the Albanian wedding soup, get it--chicken, lemon, yogurt, mmmmm.

“Good food, so-so service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2013

I ordered a salmon filet sandwich and my girlfriend ordered a gyro. The salmon filet was cooked to perfection and it was also thick and meaty. The bread was only lightly oiled and the fruit served as a side was fresh and juicy. Prices are reasonable (most sandwiches are $10 and under). However, the service was poor. Out waitress rarely came to our table not because she was busy (in fact the restaurant only had 3 tables) but because she was gossiping with friends at a table 6-8 feet away from us.

“Outstanding Mediterranean food in nondescript neighborhood place.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013

We had a great meal at this restaurant! Wonderful hummus, chicken kabobs, lamb, chicken, and grilled vegetables at restaurant whose decor could put it in any neighborhood spot in America. Definitely worth a trip!
