Unique and interesting venue. The downstairs provides mustard history while the upstairs consists of a retail platform offering mustards from around the world. Stop by and after visit one of the many interesting restaurants in the area (Hubbard Ave Diner, Villa Dolce, Tea House, Fitzgerald's).

“Who knew there were that many mustards in the world”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2013

This is a small museum/shop that has almost every kind of mustard created in the world plus a historical collection of mustards through the ages. It's a very interesting shop to visit with the added plus of being able to sample any of the mustards they sell.

“Really? A Mustard Museum--Definitely!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013

I spent the time leading up to my trip gently mocking the impending visit to the Mustard Museum in Middleton, WI on my way to Minneapolis.
But, all kidding aside, it was such a great experience. If you are interested in all things mustard, you will enjoy the downstairs museum--lots to see and learn. (But is easily done start to finish in well under an hour) If you like mustard, you will absolutely love the tasting room and store. I would never have known that chocolate mustard is tasty and that raspberry mustard is definitely a NO in my world. The staff is wonderful and I think would let you taste all 5,000 mustards if you asked. (But, Don't!) My advise is to purchase or take a bottle of water to cleanse your palate between tastes..it was well worth the $1 for a bottle from the museum fridge.
There are samples out on the floor to try and you can also take any jar up to the counter and they will have one to sample of that type. Don't know where to start? No problem, they've seen your kind before and will help you ease into the exciting world of mustard tasting. You don't have to buy a thing and the museum is free.
We spent about 15 min in the museum and about an hour in the tasting bar/store. I brought home a worldwide selection of mustards in the beautiful, free tote bag they gave us and I still find them amazing. Now I can't believe I may actually RETURN to the mustard museum to restock the next time I'm through Wisconsin. Live and learn!

“Small but interesting...and TASTY!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

We stopped here because it was just different and quirky and FREE. Who can beat free? So there is a small museum downstairs that shows many variety of mustards, etc. Upstairs on the main floor is a mustard store, which sells everything mustard. And they let you sample whatever mustard you would like! I think they have over 500 varieties or something. Plus they sell soft pretzels and mini hot dogs that you can get any kind of mustard with, and have a small area to sit. We really enjoyed this stop!

“This is Mustard Heaven”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2013

This is really a great place to visit. It has all the history of mustard's as well as very little known facts in the museum part and the top floor is a store with every mustard available and you can sample them before buying. These are literally from all over the world and every conceivable type. You may want to bring a paper and pen to jot down favorites since it is easy to loose track. they do have other items to sample and buy but here mustard is king.Really a cute place.
