So disappointing. I stayed at this hotel because in was participating in an event and needed to there by 8am over two days. I figured it would be equivalent to the chain hotels, just 20 minutes close. that turned out to be very wrong. We would up in 3 rooms for a 2 night stay. The first rooms were atbthe Inn, which looks and smells like en down college dorm. Even though we arrived at 11pm, I insisted on a room change because on the floor, several rooms had doors wide open, with large groups of drinking and hanging out, you know, like a dorm party. The 2 nd room was only slightly cleaner, but somewhat quieter. It was a miserable night. After my event, I was tired and wanted to just relax; this room was so small, dated and unpleasant we again changed rooms to the main hotel. It was a minor improvement, but again, dated furniture and linens, very poor lighting, dorm style with sink in the main room, toilet/shower in the bathroom. Still no closet, but at least a rod to hang clothes up. the common areas share the same uncared for, 70s look. We choose to leave the resort dinner.
It was so disappointing because the runs were nice, and there are ample lifts. Grooming was pretty good, and the skiing was above average. The mountain is small, so really, there isnt a reason to stay overnight - it can easily be skied in 1 day. If you must ski here for a weekend, DON'T stay on property. If you can choose another area, that would be a better idea.
This is strictly a day trip ski area. The only redeeming quality is the abundance of easy terrain. For beginners, almost all of the trails can be skied, very few truly steep or challenging runs; great for new skiers.
