“AmericInn Motel Medford a Great Place to Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2013

Very clean, well kept motel in northern Wisconsin. Our room was clean and comfortable with a king bed and a small refrigerator. Also had a safe in the room. The staff was friendly and helpful. Nice continental + breakfast.

Room Tip: We had a king room with a fridge & safe on second floor facing the trees in the back of the hote...

Lovely motel. Clean. Friendly helpful staff. Great breakfast. No lifts but there is only a first and second floor. Our bedroom was at the back of the building and it was very quiet. We will be staying there again this summer.

My family and I recently stayed at this property for a family reunion in Medford, WI. This hotel is right on Highway 13. The rooms are quiet and the noise that you hear is the typical hotel room door slam when a guest lets it go. This location is a two floor property, with one ice machine for the motel on the 1st floor at the end.

The positives - The bed was comfortable as well as the pillows. The pool area was nice along with a hot tub. Breakfast was good and included sausage, eggs, waffles, donuts, bagels, yogurts, cereals, juices milk and coffees (6-10AM). the staff was friendly and helpful.

The not so positives. The bathrrom was small and the sink is seprate on the outside and is typical of a samll motel sink with no counter space. The televisons are older and are not flat screen, which is not that big of a deal but for some it may be. The air conditioner unit had a musty smell and was in need of cleaning because of this. If you were in the bed close to the unit it was a bigger problem than someone on the other side of the room.

With Medford, WI not being a large city your options are limited. This location has a pool, nice included breakfast and an average room. It is your best bet all be it a little pricey to be the type of property it was in a town as small as Medford.

Our son was getting married in the little town on Ogema. Too small for the wedding family members to find lodging. This Americinn Motel in Medford was great in so many ways. Beds were very comfortable, staff exceptionally helpful and with smiles. Check in and out was at record speed. Pool and hot tub really clean. Quiet area. Family restaurant very near. More than ample parking spaces. also had games available to play in the family area near the kitchen.

Room Tip: Ask for the room NOT above the laundry area.

Rooms were clean and neat. Breakfast good. Coffee hot and tasty. Staff very nice. Would stay here again. Easy to find and if you have little kids they will love the pool. Needed a first floor room because mother can't do steps real well and they had no problem changing it.

Room was clean, crisp, and orderly. Everything in working order. Bed was not the most supportive, but was certainly acceptable. Front desk staff is very friendly. However, the hot water in the shower both mornings was only warm - not hot. As someone who likes a hot shower in the morning, lukewarm water is a disappointment. They need to crank up the water temperature. But otherwise, a nice well-kept property. Will stay again to give them a chance to fix the hot water problem.

They have the best free breakfast I have ever had at a hotel. There are lots of choices, eggs, sausage, waffles, plus packaged items we could take up to the room for my 6 year old who is always hungry again 30 minutes after eating. The pool temperature was almost bath-like and the hot tub was nice and hot. I never write reviews, but felt I had to for this stay.
