“Great stop”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2013

We love to stop here when we come through town on Fri-Sun. This time we ordered a whole carrot cake and definitely one of the best I've ever had. Yum!

“A Place in Time and Taste”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2013

They were putting new blacktop on the road in front, so I parked my motorcycle on the sidewalk. A train came through with a loud whistle and the afternoon sun was beating down, so I wondered in through the porch and sat down at the table. There is much to look at, and I wanted to ask all sorts of questions: "Where did the name come from? What was this building before it was a bakery? What is Bourbon Pecan Pie?" But there was a sandwich to eat, and then a piece of 3 berry pie. They were both fresh and tasty, probably made that day. The porch looked very inviting, but he sun was too hot so I stayed inside and listened to the patter of voices as first one, then another, and another neighbor dropped in to pick up bakery items. One took some cookies and a cheesecake. Obviously a beloved destination on the Great River Road.

“Want to drive back - just for the cookies!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2013

Recently had the pleasant experience of stopping in to this lovely little bakery in Maiden Rock, WI as we were staying at the lovely Maiden Rock Inn. My husband and I ordered a couple of cookies and shared a berry panna cotta. I had no idea we were in for such a treat! The panna cotta was lovely, and the lavendar sugar cookies are still telling me to drive back to the area for more! SO good! One hint: Get there earlier in the morning as they will sell out of all the good stuff!

“One of the BEST BAKERIES”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2013

The chef here is AMAZING. I remember her from the days of the Creamery in Downsville WI. years ago. A true Master of the baking. Her breads are a delight. But her Pastries are to literally die for. Worth a trip from any direction. Sandra does a fine job and takes great care in her craft... The porch where there is a flower garden is beautiful. Humming birds are visible and it is very peaceful.. they have great coffee too.

“Amazing stuff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2013

The lavender sugar cookies alone are worth the stop. All very much the real deal, great breads and some of the best cakes and muffins in the midwest. A true West Coast of Wisconsin experience
