the campsite is a buetiful secluded country setting, the people are nice, The only problem is the rules should apply for all not just a few here and there. The small lake is buetiful, the paddle boats, mini golf and canoe's are reasanably priced, it sits on the buetiful Wisconsin river. We can take our personal golf cart on the trails, and enjoy nature. The pool and bathrooms have been upgraded. The Sesonal campsites are vary personalized and spacious. Lots of weekend activities if you would like to attend. Camp store has plenty of minamal supplys. The staff is friendly but seems to become more impersonal as years go by. Your stay will be vary rewarding and you will have a good time.

The parks are clean, well maintained and the grass is mowed. My kids really enjoy it here. The pool is clean, warm and AMAZING in the summer. My favorite part about this location is how you can grab your golf cart and go exploring on the vast trails and see REAL NATURE. Most camp grounds have people crammed in there so tight you cant fart without offending your neighbor, but here we were able to put in a deck for our trailer and we still have ample room for the campfire site and all the other dirt based fun. I'm a real Outdoors-man, but my wife is a city girl. This campground has things for BOTH archetypes. I get my trails, starlit nights and deer walking through the site, she gets her pool, convenience store, running water and electricity.

Its also immediately adjacent to State land which is good for hunting or, grabbing a sleeping bag, heading to the old Boy Scout Camp in the woods and roughing it for a night with my boy.

My ONE and SINGLE complaint:
They don't have any kind of severe weather shelter. Wisconsin has a lot of Tornadoes (Especially Lately) and every time a major storm rolls through I am worried about the family. They have the equipment to dig a few shelters and put in a siren. Heck, I would even help! I have worked in Disaster Management for YEARS and a simple earth dome shelter costs next to nothing to build. It would be serious peace of mind and would bring this rating to a 5. I LOVE Crocket's Resort!

Room Tip: If your'e a wimp, ask for one of the cabins.

wife and i camped there we are always looking for new places to camp. the spaces are big but the place is very dated, it looks like it was the place to go ten years ago! this place could be great if it was updated, the showers were clean but again dated . the staff was good no problems there, i guess if you want a quiet camp trip it would be ok, but just not for us.

We had a seasonal site there and pulled off last year. We had been going to Crockett's for about 10 yrs. The sites are very spaces and private. Pool is very nice. The down fall of this park is that the Managers John and Nancy do not keep up with the Park like they should. Last year the fire wood did not get cut up on til Mid June. They had lost alot of Seasonal last year due to they like to stand in the lodge and inform others what each other is doing and going on in there life. BAD thing to do!!! I go to relax and get away from Drama and they always have it. I have personally heard them blame others for things that go on at camp ground and it wasnt the campers fault. The roads always have holes in them and John could be grating instead of talking about the seasonals. They complain about the Ho-Chunk Nation all the time about how they are drunks and how they get free money. Play yards will never get done. John always said that they were waiting for seasonals to come and help put it up. I pay for my site and do not get a discount to do work there. If the managers were gone I would consider coming back.....

Large spacious sites, WOW if you are used to being packed in like a sardine at most private campgrounds and paying large $$ for the privilage, you will be amazed at the size of the campsites at Crocketts. Last private campground we stayed at River Bay down the road we could not even put our awning down because it would hit the next camper. Managers John and Nancy are great and truly care that you have a good stay, very nice and relaxing park, with lots of things to do and trails to explore. River access for small boats and fabulous look out over the river. Nice fishing pond for kids and no license needed, kids rented a paddle boat and fished.

The Managers John and Nancy are wonderful, caring people, who keep things running very nicely and family friendly. The campground is VERY beautiful, especially by the Wisconsin River where we were able to take Jet ski's out. They also had two guys who sang, that are awesome, especially the guy who sings country. What a GREAT voice he has.
