My wife and I had never been to a B&B before, so this was an adventure for us. She had been to Lake Geneva, I had not. It was a surprise trip for me -- she planned it all and I had no idea where we were going until we were 10min. away.
From the outside, the building looks small. How deceiving it is! Inside, it's gorgeous! Very nicely decorated and very clean and taken care of. There are four rooms -- we stayed in the Mozart. It had its own private bath and one bed.
We arrived around 2pm, checked in and met Maria. What a wonderful person! She showed us around and gave us maps and tips to use for the day in town. My wife and I took the short walk (less than 5min.) into town where we spent the next 4-5 hours going in and out of the shops, restaurants, etc. It was a great day -- April 18th and about 65 degrees and partly sunny!
For dinner, we ended up at Gino's East. We weren't interested in anything real "formal." We were in jeans in a shirt, so we wanted something casual. We had a nice meal here...
The next morning, we had breakfast with another couple that Marie prepared. Wow! What a nice breakfast and time we had! Maria is an excellent cook -- made a meal for all of us based on what WE wanted! The coffee? YUM!
We took off shortly after breakfast for home. Overall, it couldn't have been any better. Nice lodging, great food and great people -- what more do you need?
If you get the chance to stay here, be sure to do so -- you won't regret it!
