“Awesome!!!”

I would highly recommend any parties they are hosting. They know how to have a good time. Was there this past weekend for the Masquerade Ball and the entertainment was top notch. Everyone seemed to be having a great time.

“Worth the drive from Milwaukee”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2013

This beautiful Victorian painted lady is the perfect setting for a lovely evening. Wish we'd known about the cabanas outside for drinks and small plates before dinner...but the four of us shared a table in one of the many small rooms. After well made drinks we ordered dinner and talked and waited and waited and waited. Our wait was interrupted by the delightful observance of sunset over the Lake with champagne cocktails. Then came more waiting for our dinners.
When they arrived we were all very happy with the presentation and flavors.
The ambience including costumed staff and live music made this a wonderful way to spend an evening with friends.

“The Prize of Lake Geneva”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2013

We dined at the Baker House on the final night of our vacation. Walking into this victorian style building, we were immediately transformed to another generation far before our time. From the employees' attire, to the decorations within, I was incredibly intrigued yet also frightened at the same time simply because all the children in our party were under the age of 5 and this place seemed anything but kid-friendly. Boy, was I wrong!

The hostess greeted the children first, taking them into a game room. The adults were guided to an amazing table overlooking the lake. Moments later, the kids returned wearing clothes from the turn of the century and it was evident they too were mystified and pleased with our selection to dine here.

And then came the meal. Amazing! I think we ordered nearly everything on the menu and each dish exceeded expectations. The waitstaff was incredibly accommodating and encouraging, and the portion sizes were extremely generous.

The Baker House is a treat, and dining here was the perfect tribute to our summer vacation.

“anniversary disappointment”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 10, 2013

Reserved anniversary dinner a week in advance. Got to restaurant on time, but kept waiting to be seated for quite some time, even though many empty tables were noted. When I asked I was told those empty tables were for hotel guests. We were told that we had to wait for people at our table to pay their check. When I finally insisted that this was a special anniversary celebration and that we had waited long enough, then we were finally seated. This poor customer service really ruined the experience for us.

“Vintage Flair Makes Experience Fun”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2013

This beautiful old home with full view of Lake Geneva makes the perfect setting for a lovely meal. The staff all wear period clothing and there is a myriad of old hats for both ladies and gents from which to choose to wear during your visit. We started with a simple yet delicious cheese fondue served with bread, green apples and pretzels. The fancy slider sandwiches were also good. Live music entertained throughout our dinner. Fun for all ages!
