The rooms were excellent, beds comfortable, veranda with a view, coffee shop in lobby. Wish I needed to stay longer to take advantage of beautiful setting golf etc. and visit the many restaurant opportunities on site

Room Tip: Lake side view was awesome

Our 2 night stay at the Grand Geneva was a great experience. The concierge Jan, was wonderful! Everyone working was very nice! The room was great, though I think they need better gardeners as the flowers were pretty sad looking. I wish though they had more entertainment on site.

Formerly the Playboy Club, the Grand Geneva is full of contradictions. There are lots of families with young children everywhere, yet every evening the place turns into a Las Vegas Bachelor Party. Every single member of the staff that we encountered was polite, helpful, friendly and professional, yet we didn't feel welcome or that we belonged (we are a very well-traveled couple in our early fifties). The resort is absolutely beautiful, but it was for us, a nightmare.
At 2:00 AM on our first night, a fight broke out in the hall immediately outside our room, with two drunk guys literally screaming at each other. We called security and were advised that we weren't the first guests to do so. Security arrived, broke up the fight and cautioned the people in the room directly across the hall to be quiet. The screaming stopped, but numerous people came and went, LOUDLY, for the next two hours.
I went to the front desk that morning to see about being moved, but was told that the guests in the noisy room were checking out that day and that all would be well. I commented that I hadn't been aware that the property was a "party place". I was told that it is not; that our experience was the very rare exception and not the norm. I asked, "why then is there a large sign when guests leave the lobby area reminding them to be quiet?" The desk clerk had no answer but reiterated that the property is not a party property.
We received a call that afternoon from the assistant manager who gave a very sincere apology and offered a slight discount. When I commented that we didn't know the Grand Geneva was a party property, she assured me that it is not. She followed up with a lovely written note of apology that was left in our room.
On our second night, we were awakened by very loud young women outside our door, about 1:00 AM.
When we checked out, the valet brought our rental vehicle (a pick-up truck) to the door. My wife asked the valet if he know what the pink balloon was doing in the bed of the truck. She picked it up to reveal a 30 inch long phallus, complete with testicles and a mischievous face on the tip (trust me, you can't make this up).
From long lines waiting for restaurant buffets, to bachlorettes sticking their fingers in the chocolate fondue fountain, to drunken revelers at all hours, to blow-up penises, believe me this IS a PARTY PROPERTY. If you are looking to get hammered and party, this is your place. If you are looking for a more peaceful respite, definitely look elsewhere.

I would like to apologize for the disturbances during your stay. That is certainly not indicative of the usual experiences here. We do value the feedback you provided. I will share this with my team and use it to help us improve.

My family and I have stayed at Grand Geneva twice this summer and we loved it. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly and the rooms are spacious and clean. There are activities for the entire family including horseback riding, golf, basketball, swimming, fitness center, and spa. There are several restaurants on site and the food was great and reasonably priced. We enjoyed the Father's Day brunch at the Grand Café! We definitely plan to return to this wonderful resort.

Room Tip: The lakeside rooms have a beautiful view!

After finishing work for the week we booked our stay here. It has been awhile since we have been here and so glad we came back. Another awesome stay with great staff all around. The setting and ease to get around their location makes this a perfect location. I was able to play a quick 18 holes on the Brute. So now I have played both courses and each has it's own great layout depending on what type of golf you would prefer. The staff at the course was able to hook me up and get out as a walk on. But would recommend getting a tee time to make it easer on everyone. Food was great as well. At check in the staff greats you with such respect it makes you feel like you are a permanent guest or resident.

Room Tip: So far every room I have stayed in has been very clean and great.

The property is absolutely beautiful with well-maintained grounds. The location is great--a five minute drive to the central part of Lake Geneva where there is plenty of convenient parking.
There are lots of activities at the resort, but we spent most of our time in Lake Geneva and nearby communities. A real plus was the Spa/Fitness Center. We did not use spa services but made good use of the Fitness Center--even taking a Yoga Class that was excellent, even though I'm a newbie at Yoga. Locker rooms have steam room, sauna, whirlpool as well as showers, bathrooms, etc. There is an indoor lap pool, tennis courts, lots of cardio equipment and free weights--even a climbing wall. Opens early and closes at 9 pm I think.
I would have given this resort a 5 except for the following. Our room was quite far from the lobby area and outdoor pools; everything is connected but there are long hallways and lots of stairs (I only saw ONE elevator in the place) so be prepared to lug your baggage up stairs. We literally had a room in the farthest building, in the farthest hallway, three rooms from the end. We also seemed to have one of the very few rooms without a balcony. Disappointing, but still a nice room.
The other negative was that one day our room never got cleaned. We left the room early-ish in the morning and did not return until mid-afternoon and the room hadn't been touched. We let them know at the front desk and they came to clean the room while we were in it so we sent them away and asked them to come out while we were out for the evening...didn't happen.
Still, this is a beautiful place in a great location. Wonderful for families or couples.

Room Tip: The closer to the lobby the less walking and stairs you'll have to do. If you have mobility iss...

I had high expectations for this place and they were flat out met and even exceeded. When you can say that, it says something. The place has a family vibe and yet is very cool too. Go there and you'll go back.
