We went here on New Year's Eve for supper. The place was packed and I was glad I had reservations.
We were greeted right away, while they got our table ready they had us check our coats. We were then seated almost immediately. Service was a little slow at first. Seemed like it took a long time to get a couple drinks to the table but to the servers credit his feet never stopped moving an the table behind us was rather difficult from the requests I could hear them making.
We got our drinks. The impressive thing is that all the beers on tap are from Wisconsin, at least I am impressed by that. We ordered a shrimp appetizer that seemed a little over priced for $9 but after taking a bite of it, I have to say it was one of the best tasting shrimp I have ever had.
Both my wife and I got the chef's special steak that was being served that night. It was cooked perfect and exactly the way we requested them. You can tell the chef's know just exactly how much heat to apply to the steak. Now after the first bite I was wowed by the steak. I quickly took another bite just to be sure but this would rank in the top 3 steaks I have had in my life. The steak also came with a salad and choice of potato but those pale in comparison to the quality of the steak. You also get a few bread rolls as well.
Now the price I know is a turn off for some but you do gets your money's worth with the food.
Overall it was a great experience that was topped by some top notch food.
