Owner description: We offer unique sightseeing cruises which explore the scenic and wild backwaters and side-channels of the Mississippi River. The cruises are interactive, fully-guided (by onboard wildlife naturalists), and vastly more scenic than other riverboat cruises. With us, you'll learn interesting aspects and stories of the Mississippi and its scenic Upper Miss Wildlife Refuge while comfortably aboard a safe, U.S. Coast Guard inspected vessel, complete with a licensed Captain and crew. Plan to get within feet of beautiful backwater riverbanks, bald eagles, bald eagle nests, turtle-filled logs, great blue herons, beaver lodges, blooming American lotus & water lilies, and more! Check us out - you won't be disappointed!

“Beautiful way to spend an hour in La Crosse”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2012 via mobile

This is the second time we have done this tour as a family and, each time its something different and a relaxing way to sightsee and learn about this great river and town. The guides are always amazing and knowledgable. Amber our guide this year , even had our kids "junior explorers", help on this tour! The kids loved it and we enjoyed every minute.
Thank you!

“Sunset Wildlife Cruise a relaxing and fun Saturday night.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2012

We had a great time on a Saturday night Sunset Wildlife Cruise. I made the reservations online a couple weeks in advance. We were stopping in La Crosse for one night on the way to another destination. I worried about the weather, but they cruise rain or shine unless it's a bad storm. It was overcast and a little cool, but we sat outside anyway. There are a few bench seats outside at the front of the boat, and the rest of the boat is enclosed with big windows that can be opened to view. We saw a beaver dam, herons, and bald eagles, including an eagle nest. Two naturalists pointed things out and provided some information about the area. The employees were polite and friendly, and everyone on the trip seemed to be enjoying themselves. The naturalists were really good with children. It sprinkled briefly, and I went into the enclosed area, which was quite comfortable. People can take food and drinks onto the boat, and I think they also sold bottled water. I was surprised at the reasonable price for this cruise. Nice boat, nice people, fun night. We'd like to go on these cruises again!

“Unique eco-cruise along the Mississippi with a crew who obviously love their work”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2012

A group of about 20 of us - both locals and out-of-towners - went on a sunset cruise which included a wedding anniversary celebration (they're flexible enough that you can bring along food and drink). The Captain brought us along the quiet backwaters and pointed out wildlife e.g. blue herons, a flock of pelicans, and of course nesting bald eagles. Along the return trip, the beautiful changing light and sunset colours provided an unforgettable backdrop to a unique trip.

“Beautiful cruise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2011

This is a beautiful cruise. My wife and I did the sunset cruise. Our guides provided excellent commentary on what to look at, and the boat captain was able to get in close so we could see Bald Eagles and their nests. You can bring your own food / drink on board. We used a small cooler to hold what we wanted. Try to get on the front deck if possible for the best views..

“If you're in town, take the family...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2011

We passed through LaCrosse on a fall getaway weekend. On Saturday morning we took the 10:30 cruise. What a pleasure it was. The captain is knowledgeable and there is also a naturalist aboard. We not only saw eagles but a beautiful flock of migrating white American pelicans. If there are children aboard, they use them as "junior naturalists." This is a wonderful way to teach children about the joys of nature. It is inexpensive and very worthwhile. I highly recommend it.
