This is a true bed and breakfast. I have stayed in scores of rooms and the Scarlett House is one the few that lives up to the term of bed and breakfast. The rooms ( i peeked in the others) are wonderful and very clean. The house is a treasure of Victorian architetcural history. So is the neighborhood. The innkeeper is an expert on the local history.
No marketing, no strawberries dipped in chocolate (though I hear she'll do that). I felt at home. The price of the room is very fair (especially compared to the local hotels).
Finally, this is the first time I've ever extended my time at a B&B for an extra day. Just felt comfortable here.
