Sizzling Grill is a hole-in-the-wall breakfast/lunch place that has been around for years. You want a slice of homemade pie--come here. Longing for Swiss steak--come on Thursday. The priced right daily plate specials include potato, vegetable, cup of homemade soup and a slice of homemade bread. There's also a different sandwich/soup special every day. And did I mention pie? There's a different selection every day.
Along with table service (a couple of the tables are reserved for office workers), there's an old fashioned lunch counter. Check out the blackboard for the specials. By the way, the french fries are hand cut--not frozen. Order them with a cheeseburger with grilled onions--Yummo! Did I mention the pie? If you see pie on the blackboard, you're lucky. It's goes fast--sometimes I order it as soon as I sit down so I won't get left out.
The waitresses are old school. You'll probably be called honey or kid (if you're under 60). I don't care what they call me, just so they bring me a piece of pie. Cherry, please.
