My trip was neither business or pleasure but due to a personal situation that I knew going in would be stressful. When I looked at area hotels and saw the Westphal Mansion and realized their Alcott suite was actually less expensive or exactly the same as staying at a Holiday Inn or similar hotel, I opted for the Mansion. Going in I thought it would be nice to have a "soft place to land" vs. a cookie cutter, no personality hotel room. Oh I cannot express enough how the Westphal Inn was exactly and beyond what I hoped. My husband and I had several hours to enjoy their garden patio, surrounded by flowers, an herb garden and beautifully decorated, we quitely read books and just enjoyed the tanquility of the surroundings. The room itself was cozy and comforting, very relaxing and the bathroom, which had been a former sunroom, was exactly that -- sunny, cheerful and the rain forest shower head was something I had never experienced before. You could not help but smile as I dressed for the day ahead. Rather than have those awful waffles, rubber eggs and the usual yogurt and apples/bananas, we enjoyed the most incredible breakfast. I savored every bite and enjoyed the conversation at the dining room table with other guests. Garrett and Pam gave us the background of the mansion that my husband in particular enjoyed being a woodworker and knowing a lot about maintenance systems. We also learned about great places to visit in the area had we had that kind of time and it was just a very good way to start what was otherwise going to be yet another difficult day. We packed up and left the mansion feeling serene and prepared and I am so very glad that my husband and I made the choice to stay at the mansion. Highly recommend not just for pleasure or a business trip but if you ever just need a "soft place to land".

Room tip: All the rooms are good rooms. Be sure to inquire with Garrett and Pam where to dine in the evening or for lunch. We found out about a great restaurant we would have tried but didn't learn about until the morning we left. I stayed on a first floor room due to an inability to climb stairs so be mindful there is no elevator and if you are in a wheelchair, inquire about that as there are stairs leading to the front door. I did not see a wheelchair ramp but there may have been one.

We only had one night to stay at the Westphal Mansion Inn - but would have loved to stay longer.
The rooms were comfortable and quiet, with everything that was needed.
Breakfast was to-die-for and delicious - and family style with other guests was fun!
The inn-keepers are happy to share the history of the mansion and recommendations for local activities. Rooms are on 3 different floors - make sure to reserve first floor if stairs are an issue for you. We will definitely be back the next time we're in this part of Wisconsin!
Golfers -- this is very convenient to Erin Hills if you are playing there.

Pam and Garrett were great hosts. The mansion is really a sight to see. I thoroughly enjoyed looking at the historic pictures throughout the house. The food was yummy and very filling!

This was our second stay and this time was just as enjoyable as the first. Thank you for having us!

Our recent stay is an experience we will not soon forget. Pam and Garrett are wonderful hosts; friendly, attentive and take great pride in what they do. You can tell as soon as you drive onto the property and go inside that they are dedicated to their business and guests. The rooms are exquisitely decorated, quiet, clean, luxurious and the breakfast totally exceeded our expectations. We thoroughly enjoyed the fresh baked cookies, the wine and cheese hour and especially appreciated their recommendations for dinner. The whole experience was relaxing and "absolutely perfect". We will definitely stay here again and would highly recommend this B&B. A Five-Star stay for sure!

We were looking for a getway/babymoon and fell upon the Westphal Inn. It was truly a luxurious experience. The landscape and mansion are beautifully kept, with much attention to detail. All of the rooms are excusitiey decorated, with a feel of luxury. We especially appreciated the beautiful private bath, comfortable bed, and spaciouse suite. However, the breakfast is almost worth the stay itself-truly amazing. Pam and Garret were wonderful host, accomodating to every need, and excel at adding personal touches to this beautiful resort. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great night stay.
