I have noting but good things to say about this hotel. I have been coming for over 15 years. When I come I usually stay at this wonderful hotel for four or more days straight for training camp.I am always welcome at the front desk with a smile as I see them doing that to everyone. Sometimes it gets real hetic in the lobby, especially if there will be a game going on but they are always there with a smile. They don't rush you either if you have a question and the lobby has people waiting like some hotels have that I have been to.
One night I needed something ,went to the lobby, a nice young man was helping two customers before me but turned around a few times to say he was sorry that we had to wait. I told him later he was doing a good job and he told me he was only working there a few months. That was a treat to see a young person being so work orientated but also letting the other people know that he cared about them too
I always stay pool side and our family always sit at the many tables and chairs they have just enjoying the pool, hot tub, pool and tennis table. You can bring your food and drinks and just have quality time with the family.
There bar area is real nice, they too have wonderful caring people. You can tell your in the midwest, since everyone is so friendly. The drinks were good, not watered down, the average price for being so close to the stadium. Big popcorn popper ,no cost just get up and get a basket full.
The breakfast is good and a lot of it. They have fruit , pastries, waffles (you make with the flip kind), alternating days of ham or sausage, scrambled eggs. The ususal bread, bagels, ceral etc.
The only thing I missed was they changed it this year they didn't have a person making omlets.
A few years ago they changed ownership and I was worried they would 'nt be as accomodating as the last owner but I was wrong very sweet family owns it now ,They kept a very special person on at the front desk her name is Mary and she is always there to help you out with anything you need.
The rooms have been updated with new carpeting ,bedding etc.,shower curtains. The bathroom
was clean but they changed the way you get amenities . They have a box on the wall that distributed one side with shampoo the other body soap, which isn't that bad but now they don't supply conditioner for the hair or body lotion.
On the negative side, when I come it is always mostly booked and I know the room attendants are busy but I hate to be go almost all day and come back about 3:00 and the room is straighten up yet. The big thing is they neglect the carpets in the halls, up the back stairs, and this year
they didn't straighten up the pool area, except for towels, but they could have clean the carpetsby the table area and take crumbs off of chairs and wash the tables. Not that is was that bad but I have been coming for so many years and expect it to be picked up. All and all I love this place and want to come back many more times. It is a plus that after the games when most people are still trying to get out of the parking lots I already am changed ,the pizza is ordered and a drink in my hands by the pool side
