“It's free and it's fun, nice animal exhibits.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2009

When we went here they had just gotten a new exhibit for some bobcats. So cute! Definitely bring your kids here. I would actually choose this place over the NEW Zoo in Green Bay, which isn't free and most of the animals are never out to be seen.

“Fun family place that is free”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 7, 2009

The Wildlife Sanctuary is a fun place to see animals of Northest WI, walk in the woods, and feed the geese. Admission is free, walking the area can take up to two hours, less if you walk fast. The Sanctuary is located close to the bay, across from Bay Beach amusement park. Park in the front close to the bird of prey exhibit then walk to the education building. It feels like a fun walk in the woods while seeing animals in a zoo like setting.

“Great Family Fun...For Free!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2008

My wife and I took our kids, a six and two year old, to Green Bay for a few days. Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary was one of our favorite stops. We visited during mid-October, and the leaves were beautiful. We enjoyed the trails, and hiking out to the wild animal displays.
The indoor displays at the main lodge are interesting. There is a unique cave "crawl-through" exihibit for the kids. There is also a two story slide that our son went down numerous times.
Finally, don't miss feeding the birds. For only $1, you can get enough bird feed for the whole family. There are a LOT of birds --- ducks and geese mostly, and they aren't too shy about approaching you for food.
All and all, a great way to spend 2-3 hours. Donations are encouraged, but entirely optional. We gave a few bucks...and it was definitely worth it.

“Fantastic family entertainment”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2008

You dont get much for free these days. But the Wildlife Sanctuary provides excellent free family entertainment. They have a number of animal exibits. Two buildings with indoor exibits and a number of outdoor larger animal exibits. They have a really nice collection of birds of prey (a variety of hawks, eagles and owls). The wolves, wild cats, deer, and otters are neat since you get such a nice up close look. Indoors they have various birds, fish, turtles, frogs, bats, and a few other small mammals. They also have a nice learning center building with hands on exibits for children. The big slide which goes into an under ground habitat is a great attraction for children. You can spend a few quarters and buy a bag of corn to feed the geese and ducks. In winter you better buy a lot as they will follow you in hords begging for more food. Its a great experience for children.

“So much to see!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 6, 2008

I visit the Wildlife sanctuary almost every year, the fall season is particularly beautiful when the leaves are changing colors and falling. There are a lot of wonderful exhibits to see. The wild geese are quite amusing to watch also. Bags of corn are available to purchase for about 50 cents to feed certain animals from your hand or to simply throw on the ground and watch the animals come up and eat it. The exhibits are very well put together and very informational. There is so much to do and so much to see. If you go to Green Bay I highly recommend seeing nature at its finest. The only kind of bad thing about the sanctuary is the bird poo on the ground but even that isnt too bad.
