“Amazing Food - Great Atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2012

My boyfriend and I have been celebrating Valentines Day at Club Chalet for 7 years!! They have an amazing steak and lobster deal. The atmosphere is cozy and friendly. I would recommend Club Chalet for all occasions or just for a night out from cooking dinner yourself!

“Amazing Classic Supper Club”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 13, 2012

Don't expect a classy modern restaurant. This is a typical Wisconsin supper club that has maintained its quality of food and classic atmosphere over the years. If you don't know what a supper club is and are from a "big city", you will be pleasantly surprised by the Wisconsin culture that the restaurant possesses without even realizing it. Excellent food at a bargain price for the portions. Every dinner comes with soup AND salad, cheeses, crackers and a veggie plate set in the middle of the the table to share (a lazy susan) the main course and a choice of potato.
Some of the waitresses/servers have been there for 30 years and it shows, but you just roll with it. The server takes your order at the bar and then lets you know when your table is ready in the dining room; when you get to your table, the salads are waiting for you. You are never rushed. After-dinner drinks (a Grasshopper is a must) are served at the bar or the table and of course are not included in the meal, but are a part of the experience. I highly recommend this restaurant as one of the best, if not the best Supper Club in Wisconsin.

“Great food, great price!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2012

Went to Club Chalet for lobster and tenderloin; quality, quantity, price and service was good. Our meal came with soup, salad, veggies, cheese spread and crackers, potato AND the lobster and tenderloin all at a great price! Bartenders were not very friendly (drinks were also a great price @ $3.50 per old fashioned can't go wrong with that) but our server made up for it. Will return soon!

“Classic Wisconsin Supper Club”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 12, 2012

I stopped in for dinner last August for Friday Fish Fry with the family. The Chalet is located high on the hill with a great view of the Green Bay. I remembered coming here as a child, playing outside until the food was ready. It was more upscale in those days, but surprisingly not much has changed in 30 years. The adults still order the food in the bar, then drink hard until the table is ready. I drank whiskey old fashioned just like my Daddy did ...

Classic Supper Club, the only place you find this style of dining is in Wisconsin!

When you table is ready 40 minutes later you are led to the tightly packed dining area, made up to look like ... you guessed it ... a Chalet. A lazy susan is in the middle of table is loaded with a selection of crackers, breadsticks, carrots, celery, radish, green onions, with dipping cups of liverwort, herbal butter, sour cream & cheddar cheese. Al-righty then, I dove right in, my family looked at me like WTF do we do with this! A plain jane iceberg salad was also served, I poured on some cheap French Dressing and went to town. The family is still staring at me, I'm like ... what? Eat! This is Wisconsin!

Warm rolls and butter came next followed by perfectly cooked deep fried Perch and Walleye. Awesome, keep em' coming. How about another old fashioned and a beer. What, I was having the time of my life.

Good food, drinks, reasonable prices ... whats not to like!

(I learned from the bartender that the original owners Al & Diane moved to Phoenix back in the 80's. I looked them up and found out they now own a restaurant called The Red Onion Lounge. Located 90 miles north of Phoenix on the Mogollon Rim. I stopped in and found no lazy susans, but they do have fresh ground chuck "butter" burgers, "grilled Prime Rib on Saturaday's, and get this ... deep fried Walleye on Friday nights. Awesome! My kind of place, a taste of Wisconsin in Arizona.)
