While on busness for several days in Green Bay there was opportunity to dine at a number of the fine establishments in the downtown area. Hinterland Brewpub came with some recomendation from coworkers as a good place to try. The ambiance was fair. Not the typical brewpub though. They really tried to class it up. Perhaps too much, as the classiness was also reflected in the pricees. Not what we expected walking in for a casual bite to eat. The menu was nice and typical of one might expect for fine dining with a good selection of dishes to choose from. We did however expected brewpub food and that is the reason we selcted this place for dinner. Fortunately, they have a berger on the menu so we went for it, and fries. When our meal arrived it looked like a small meatloaf on a roll. No kidding, it had to be five inches tall. Too much to take a bite out of it so out came the knife and fork to do their work. It was tasty and prepared to our liking but exceptionally large and over priced. I will say the beer was excellent. as good as any hand crafted beer I've ever had and that would be my only reason to return.
