The best way to rate the hotel is the same way the football game resulted in that I was in town to go to... a tie. There was both good and bad things with the hotel.
The bad: The pool and hot tub and the areas they were in. Both were kept extremely low on water, are EXTREMELY old, the water smelled funny... like gas or something. Not typical pool chemicals. The hot tub was lukewarm at best and had 1 jet that worked and water level was about at your belly button while sitting. The room that they were in was 51 degrees (they have a thermometer in there). It was FREEZING. they definitely are a penny pinching property. They also tried to charge for things like a roll in bed and stuff that I did not have and were hoping I would not catch it or something...? Anyway, I did catch it and they said it will be refunded in a few days... we will see. The rooms were also small.
The good: The continental breakfast was great! lots of options and good food. Nice televisions in the rooms, however most of the channels came in full of static. Mackinaws and Fajita Republic (restaurants next door) were both fantastic with great staffs. They are both a bit spendy, but their food and drinks are great! All in all, it was ok. Overpriced for what it is, but a little bit less than closer hotels to the field. However, cab rides we found out the meter starts at $6.00 and is $3.65 a mile so it was about $45 one way to get where all the good bars are or to where the field is. Next year we will be staying at one of the hotels back on Ramada Way. A little more expensive but you get SO much more.

We booked a king bed suite with jacuzzi tub. Walking in the room, none of the light switches inside the door worked. After making our way around the room, we did find two lamps that lit. The next thing we saw was the smoke detector hanging from the ceiling by the wires. We turned on the in room jacuzzi tub to find very little water pressure. We left the water run while we looked around the room more. The hot water ran out before the tub was even 1/4 filled. Also there was a strange powdery substance floating in the water. The cabinets in the "kitchenette" area had chips and wear, and what looked like water damage below the mini fridge. The bedding was not clean, with hairs and stains and the sheet did not even fit the mattress. We heard a drip coming from the bathroom, it was the shower. The knob was broken. We noticed the one couch was a pull out, so lifted the cushions on the other couch to find tons of crumbs, food, garbage and stains. We checked and the chairs were in the same condition. Very dirty and in horrible disrepair. We informed the desk staff that we were very unhappy, we requested a refund and did not stay.
