The revonvations are a HUGE improvement over the old, tired dirty hotel it was. But, if the phrase "putting lipstick on a pig" doesn't apply to this situation...I don't know what does. Still, it isn't bad at all and sadly it could be the best offered in Green Bay. The rooms are clean and new, the service at the front desk was very, very good and the facilities a have been spruced-up. The new hotel is going for a "W" look but they didn't go all the way or pull it off. It is too bad, because Green Bay is in serious need of a decent luxury branded hotel. Maybe the market doesn't support it but it certainly doesn't need another extended stay, AmericInn or Comfort Suites.

The bed was great and I'd recommend the hotel overall.

I stayed at Green Bay Hotel Sierra property at the government rate. I was turned away from the free breakfast line because I didn't have the paper breakfast voucher / card you receive at check in. I contacted the front desk and was advised that you "do not" get a free breakfast at the "government rate". This is the first time that I have ever been turned away from a free breakfast program...at any hotel chain. This type of policy will certainly not bring future government business to this property.

“Loved it, it's newly renovated”

We were with a tour group and the new rooms are nice, we had
a little suite with a bar, sofa and TV in the outer room. My companion snores so I slept on the sofa the two nights we
stayed there and since it was new it was very comfortable. I liked the glass elevators and the food was really good. It's relatively close to the stadium because we stopped there on the way out of town.
