“Yes, it's a Residence Inn”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2013 via mobile

Not sure what bugs me about Residence Inns. Maybe it's the cheap construction and the feeling that I'm in a bad apartment complex. This property is not new but it is clean. Staff is friendly but housekeeping not always reliable. All in all, it's a Residence Inn. Good value.

I cannot say enough about Cathy S. (Front Desk Supervisor). She is there for every need you may have. Very helpful and knowledgeable about the property. Her customer service is top notch and is the reason I stay there. Yea, the rooms are clean, maintenance is good and prices so so. With Cathy working there I will keep coming.

Our room was clean, spacious and quiet. The bed, comfortable. The staff was cheerful, helpful and friendly. Breakfast met our needs. This is an older style Residence Inn so we expected that it might need some updating. We enjoyed our stay and will come back on our next visit to the area.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that faces the residential neighborhood.

Stayed here while in town for a family reunion. Room was clean and spacious. Staff was friendly, the free breakfast was good. Overall a good place to stay, and just up the road from Milwaukee and local attractions.

We have stayed at this hotel several times in the past and return because it works best for a family where you don't want to have to all sleep in the same room (teenager).

The good: Very good customer service. The staff really is there to help and are all very friendly. The breakfast is good with a nice selection of food. Nothing fancy, but a fairly good selection. It is nice to have a full kitchen, if just for reheating food and making snacks.

The bad: The rooms definitely need updating. Some of the furniture is stained and worn. The blankets and sheets are very basic. The bathroom is old. Our bathroom door hinges were coming off and I had to screw them in each morning in order to be able to close the door.

Mildew in the bathrooms, filth in the rooms, torn furniture, stains everywhere, broken thermostat, no blankets, water damage, crunchy filthy carpets, and very finicky wifi. This was by far the worst Marriott experience we've ever had. Even the outside common areas are disgusting with stains, cobwebs, and chipped paint, white rock and wood chips. Mildew on the shower curtains, broken tile in the bathrooms, and peeling wall paper. Marriott should be ashamed of this place and there is no way it is worth the premium you pay for a Residence Inn. We cut our stay short by a day and moved to the much, much nicer and cheaper Courtyard at the Airport, which was a lovely hotel.

Room Tip: Stay somewhere else.

I can't write anything really bad or wrong with this Inn but then not much can be said about it being great either.

Pros: Mostly great people working the front desk. Usual breakfast. A evening dinner/snack can be interesting with a great salad. Location is pretty good

Cons: in need of some serious upkeep. Paint peeling, screen doors taped shut wood siding cracking or rotting. Port Washington road can be noisy with traffic / police / fire engines.

Not really serious complaints but I would rate the facility at three stars at best.

Room Tip: Try to get a second floor room for a better sleep
