If traveling in the winter months, Get a Spa package. The Spa will charge you $25 per day, to use the spa ammenities, like the nicer pool, jacuzzi, sauna, etc. unless you actually purchased a spa package with your stay.
The rest of the Abbey is just OK and is nothing compared to the Spa facilites/ammentities..
The Prime Rib buffet (with crab legs) and champagne brunch, both at Fontana Grill, were definitetly worth it and delicious, despite us having our doubts to spend $30 on both. They both included drinks/coffee, and the waiting staff will do anything they can to make sure you are content...
However there was a lack of options of places to eat. Porto was recently closed, and still shows as active on the website...
Was looking for something that was NOT Fontana Grill (since we planned to eat at Fontana Grill both Sat and Sun), nor the Bar-Food esq at the Waterfront to eat on Friday, and there was no other options so we had to eat at Waterfront, which was just OK. Salad and soup were great, but the main entre's were just average.
The rooms were clean, service was great, Late night s'mores was a delicous, and would have been even nicer to hang out at the bonfire, if it wasn't in the 20's degrees at night.
The Lake was froze over, and people were Ice fishing, which was crazy to see. We were able to walk on the Lake ourselves, and that was definelty an exciting RUSH to do.
Saturday, after our Spa treatments, we drove over to Geneva to go to Studio Winery (found it on TripAdvisor). Such a great small-bar type winery, that had live music, great wine, and great company! We did the wine tasting for only $5 or $10, which brough us 4 or 5 tastings of their current wines. You can also purchase by the glass for $5 each (we got 1 glass each after the tasting). You can bring food, or purchase from a small selection of delicous cheese and sausage, while you can also buy freshly made baguettes from them to eat with your cheese and sausage..
